Description

First of all sorry for my english :D

I build this setup after 4 crappy years wasted on console (PS4) and using Notebook. Also that's my first complete build where I'm starting from scratch and from my own money, earlier ... I changed some parts from parents money. :D

After many conclusions I decided to bet on Ryzen because I prefer to have lower base clock but more cores. It overclocks to stable 3.8GHz on 1.386V and temperature goes to 83'C max under Prime95 benchmark. The GPU is obviously nVidia, GTX 1080 was in a good price after release of the Ti series so I decided to Palit due to best Pascal cooling IMO. Is get max 70'C in any game and max 74'C while mining ;) Overclocking is also on high level, I get around 2000MHz in core (boost) and + 500Mhz (+1000 Ef.) On memory. Rest of parts was the choice for the look certainly but I strongly studied other builds on PCPartPicker and finally I got the white B350M Mortar Arctic and white Corsair LPX 3000Mhz which is well compatible with MoBo and they work on 2933MHz on XMP2 profile.

Overall I made one mistake. I chosed Corsair Air 240 because I wanted to put a case on my desk so I wanted a small mATX cube case. Result? GTX1080 GameRock is too deep and power connectors stick out of the case outline ... I wonder if I should apply riser extension for PCIe x16 and mount GPU horizontally.

And for the end I am curious if you know a polish company - GOODRAM. I suppose is most popular producer of RAM / flash memory and SSDs in Poland :)

Edit; small plans: I decide to paint case interior to white, because white LEDs on back of motherboard have poor reflection on black-painted steel. Also I'm thinking more and more about install some AIO cooler on CPU, maybe Corsair H115i or something near it. Furthermore as I write in comments - LED strip(s), white extended cables and other little things. I update gallery when I done :)

+1 Cool and Neat. I always love White accent builds. I just noticed that your are using a higher voltage for 3.8Ghz. Have you tried tweaking it and lower it a little bit more at least around 1.30 - 1.35v? I know it depends on each cpu unit but I've seen a lot running stable on these ranges for 1600. Me myself is running 3.8(but Ryzen 1500x) at 1.275v.

Check it out, it will lower your temps and also good for your cpu on the long run.

Thanks for tip. Indeed I will try to lower it.

Really nice build, you did a very good job with color matching and cable management. Your entire setup matches really well, it all looks really nice and fits together well.

that's beautiful, and so minimalist

quite the first build. In the future, white sleeved cable extensions would make the build "pop" even more.

+1

You're absolutely right. In near future I plan to change these cables especially that OEM cables are very rigid... and maybe add some white LED strip on upper side or LED fans :D

Build looks beautiful, +1 for the ps4 controller

What I did was take out the glass and hot glue it to the outside that gave it just enough space to fit ( But I have a MSI RX 470 Gaming X). Or you can get flat cable extensions

Yea, I think about riser but I suppose GPU will be too close to window and that incrase temp & fan speed on GPU :/

this build is great, but get a new monitor

Nice build, but please get a better case...

Fractal Design's Define Mini C is million times better than Corsair's Air 240.

Good luck.

radziuxd submitter 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

Yup, maybe, but it's also about 8cm higher than Corsair and not availible in white colour :/
