So pre to building this pc I was running a pretty ample system that got me by with an amd phenom 2 and a gtx 660
A few days ago with some saving I went and bought some better parts to put it into a nut shell i went from getting around 50fps on minimal settings playing battlefield 4 to now getting around 80fps on high.
Currently i still have got my gtx 660 in my rig and i will be soon upgrading to a 980ti when i can afford one, until now i have seen a fantastic boost in performance even when booting as my newly upgraded pc takes around 10-15 seconds less than my old rig.
Overall I am very happy with the build I think I did a good enough job with the cable management, but i'm just looking into getting some lighting for the case.
This is what i decided to name the build on as the only light in the case is from my cooler and a small led on the motherboard, generally leaving inside the case very dark. But there's no fancy gpu in there yet so I wont have to worry about showing it off for a while. When building this PC with a friend we encountered a couple of problems along the way after going about building a pc in the correct way building the motherboard up putting it in the case then followed by the cooler we were having a hard time getting the 280mm radiator into the top of the case, so we went to detach the rear fan of the case to find out the wire was stuck in between the io shield and the motherboard. So we had to bring everything out and start again, small waste of time for a simple mistake. After starting again with putting the radiator in the case first it was plain sailing from that point to now where I am telling from my upgraded pc. I have invested alot into my setup over the past couple of years with buying things like my corner desk, k95 rgb, zowie fk2, a couple of mousemats, headsets and now this PC, but I am fully enjoying and having no regrets switching from playing on a console around about 3 years ago, and its finally coming to a close I think as to where I wont have to spend anything on my setup for a good few years.
There is just a Couple of cons to my new build. From upgrading from my old one it had nice blue lighting on the fans and im not very keen on it being so dark meaning I need to buy some LED's asap. And my old PC used to generate quite alot of heat, and since upgrading I have noticed a huge temperature drop in my room :( cold hands are not fun to play with, but at least i know its better for the parts and my pc doesn't sound like its going to die playing games like battlefield/DayZ.
Seems fast but feels pretty cheap don't know how long this one will last for me
Very good case just have a couple of problems with the 3.5/5.5 inch bays sticking out beyond the window. It was hard mounting a 280mm radiator. The rear case fan had to be removed. No lighting for any of the case fans, leaving inside very dark.
