Description

Have always been a console game recently wanted to upgrade to next gen, after speaking to some mates decided to take the plunge and build a PC over buying a ps4 or xbox one. Really happy with the finished product, I got the card for 30 less than is shown on here list and managed to get windows 8 free through my university. Running BF4, ultra on 70 fps and and has run every game i have thrown at it exceptionally well (excluding dying light however once I turned down the view distance it ran much smoother). All that's left is buying a windowed case at some point as well as some led strips however for the money put in very happy with the performance. Any comments or recommendations welcome

Love it. Awesome budget build. Can't go wrong with a 6300 + 290.

Nice build! I'm doing almost the same thing in a micro-ATX case, only with an R9 280X and water cooling. Did you consider rotating the CPU cooler so it exhausts straight out of the back? Adding a pull fan to the cooler would make it look even better, and I think it improves performance somehow.

Cheers, Ye will have look wanted to do that originally however i couldn't seem to get it to fit horizontally with my motherboard

So that's a pull fan on the cooler? Slap a push fan on that thing!

The easiest thing to do would just be to put the fan on the otherside of the heatsink. Mounting on my mobo was also too heard for me so I just flipped the fan the other way. That way the air is just exhausting through the top instead of pushing hot air against your gpu. Simple fix.

I would recommend cleaning up that cable management. IT won't really decrease your performance or anything, but it will certainly make it look nicer.

You really should turn that heatsink so the fan is facing the front of the case, man. You're blowing hot air onto your GPU.

Ye unfortunately my mobo won't let me but I think someone mentioned If I mount the fan on the other side of the sink it should work better
