Description

This build handles my needs all around. It handles the few games I play (League of Legends and a few steam games). It handles my workload (Programming, Photoshop, Audio Recording, 3D Modeling, etc). I strictly went for quiet so I went with the Antec Solo II and 2x Antec TrueQuiet 120mm, the Arctic Cooling heatsink has a PWM fan. Overall super satisfied and I get great temps.

I got the graphics card for free and the 500gb hard drive is from 2010.

Your ram speed is not set correctly based on the screenshot. It seems you're getting less than half of the speed that you should be getting. Unless the program you're using is wrong, this should be easily fixed by going into the bios and changing it manually. Your mobo is very similar to mine so you should be able to select the proper speed from a drop-down menu and reset. After that it should run at the proper speed.

Hows the cooler doing? I purchased the same case and later realised that the 212x wont fit.I have a amd fx8350 processor and was planning to upgrade from the stock cooler because its too loud! Could you suggest me some coolers which would fit in. Thanks!

Hello Qwertacious,

(I welcome comments from all users also, thank you)

I am thinking about an Antec Solo II build. This is my first build and I have a ASUS CG5275 A003 that I have upgraded a few times and want to build a custom PC and see how I do. Here is my parts list:

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/XQFrvV

I am really not sure about the CPU cooler and case fans. I hear lots of pro Noctua reviews and these Cooler Master fans have great reviews. I prefer the black/monochrome look so I plan to swap the CPU cooler fan out during the build. Also I am looking at the push/pull CPU fan cooler setup. I want to build a solid system that is cool and quiet that just runs smooth. I use lots of different programs and I consume lots of media on my PC. My monitor is an ASUS PB278 (2560X1440) and I run it in portrait orientation). I am usually watching videos (top of my monitor), editing iTunes Library, web surfing, reading comics or playing a game in a window 1920X1080 (at the bottom of my monitor). Do you think that two case fans and a good CPU cooler will keep this case cool and quiet? Thank you for posting your build and if you have any info for me I thank you in advance. I have never ran a Radeon card and want to try something different so I am thinking about this RX 470 but I hear that they can run hot. Thoughts?

Why not a better GPU...

This isn't all that powerful. Yes, the 8320 has some balls, but is far from "powerful". Not even overclocked with that massive cooler on it.

A 7770 is strictly a mid-range card, and won't pull many FPS in today's AAA titles.

Give us a description, other than... that. Cause it's not "that" at all (it may be quiet, but not powerful). This screams "mid-range".

Exactly what i thought. Can't stand it when someone says something like "ultimate" or "high-end" because it rarely ever is.

Hell i didnt even know Antec made cases... mid range case for a mid range build. At least you put a SeaSonic in it?

I should've pointed out I've had that hard drive for 3 years but for recreation purposes I put the same drive in the list.
