This PC is an upgrade from my old i5-6600K ATX system (a gifted pre-built). After a 1.5 years of use, I wanted something smaller and better looking. Thanks to my new job, I finally have the money to build myself a glorious system!
I use my PC for media consumption, gaming (emulation too), and streaming. I used a few parts from my old system to save some money. I carried over my GTX 1070, the RAM, and the Wi-Fi card. When I save up some more money, I plan to buy RGB RAM and another RGB fan for the exhaust.
I picked a non-K i7 to save money on both the CPU and the motherboard. I never really bothered with overclocking my 6600K anyway. Either way, it's a huge step-up. I went with an RGB AIO because of aesthetics and the fans are visible through the front panel. Plus, the motherboard's heat sinks are too good looking to block with an air cooler. I chose an RGB power supply because this case has no PSU shroud, so the light is visible and GORGEOUS. I got this case for the low price, the tempered glass, and the size.
Building this PC was VERY easy, I ran into almost no problems at all. The only issue I had was cable management. The AIO RGB relies on Molex power and the RGB strip relies on SATA power, so I had to stuff two extra peripheral cables behind the back panel. Getting the back panel on was the hardest part of the build. There's not much room to shove cables.
The system booted up without an issue! The lights came on and I was blown away. I stared at it for several minutes before installing Windows. The tempered glass is a HUGE upgrade from my old S340's acrylic, which became a dust magnet covered with scratches over time. The lack of glossy metal is a huge plus too, fingerprints aren't a huge problem anymore. The lights on the GPU, AIO, PSU, and the strip don't sync up, but it still looks great!
Love this AIO! Great looks, great price, great functionality!
Good little motherboard for the price! Love the looks, especially the big heatsinks. Only complaint is the lower-than-average count of USB ports on the back. I would trade the DVI output for two more USB ports any day. USB-C is great to have though!
This case is fantastic for the price! In my build, the lack of a PSU shroud helps the aesthetic, I can show off that RGB power supply! The clear front panel and the tempered glass are very nice too.
I've noticed two downsides though, one being limited airflow, and the other being cable management. There is only a single exhaust in the back, another exhaust or two on the completely solid top panel would help a lot.
Cable management was very tricky, but still doable. Getting the side panel back on was a struggle. Also, a cutout for the CPU power cable would be great as well.
Besides those two issues, this is a great little case! It also includes a single fan, and three different trim options: red (default), black, and white.
Great power supply! It looks great, and the cables look great as well. RGB looks very nice, but there's not a whole ton of options. There's a button on the back that controls the fan. One option is constant airflow, and the second turns on the fan when it's needed.
My only big complaint is the red plugs on the PCI power cables. Why did they have to be red?
