Description

My main rig. General purpose so ill break down by category

Gaming: LoL, Batman Arkham AO/AC, Warframe, Hawken, Metro LL, Diablo 3, GW2, and some others Media: Handbrake, ffmpeg, photoshop (actually all of CS6), playback via VLC, PLex Media Server (will soon move to server) Office: Office 2013, Acrobat XI

and of course general use. I sometimes use VM's for testing but will be moving that to a server soon as well.

Single monitor at 1080p and most games play at full settings 60fps or better, some like Batman dip under 60 but it isnt noticeable to me during game play. I bought most of the parts the day haswell released, at which point there was no 700 series geforce cards.

All in all, extremely happy with the rig. Great balance of price and performance. In the near future i may replace the PSU with a more efficient one and then sleeve the cables to make it look nice. Highly recommend all the parts i have in the build.

Probably would not have gone with that graphics card, if this is for gaming. A description would help.

Thanks, it doesnt break a sweat no matter what i through at it. The GPU may need an upgrade in a year or 2 but for now handles every game i play. Was in the middle of posting the build when you guys commented, description added

I actually just posted the build but have had it since haswell came out. Havent gotten to write the description yet. Yea i do gaming on it, video editing, and some other stuff. The 660 ti has handled all the games i play very well. When i built it the geforce 7xx wasnt out yet, otherwise id have likely gone with a 760 or 770.

How's the plex transcoding capabilities of the apu? Any issues with 1080p mkvs on the fly? I'm looking to build something similar as my htpc with some steam-based gaming, but mostly worried it won't be able to handle transcoding.

Sorry I must have over written my build. I corrected it. Actually an i7-4770k. Not sure how the APU would fair. That was for a planned build for my server but I ended up going for an i5-4430
