It's pretty neat. I do stuff on it. Lots of stuff.

(NOTE:)/ All the parts in the parts list are current parts that are now in my PC. I just haven't updated the pictures :P BTW all the prices are not correct to what I bought them at. To lazy to update the prices. Actual build is about $400 less than what you see here. Gotta love discounts.

Later updates soon to come: Red Sleeded EVGA cables, lights and a back plate for my 770. Might also do some paint mods to the motherboard's armor.

Current Upgrades not shown here: Sister donated me 16gb HyperX Blue Fury 1600mhz (Total now 24gb). Samsung 850 Evo since my old ADATA one failed. Logitech G Pro added.

Remember, It can be any color you want it to be, as long as it's black! :P

great build ^

James710 2 points 46 months ago

This is almost the same build I was getting right down to the monitor

kingbal 2 points 46 months ago

Great build!

Only thing is you didn't need the thermal compound, and i hope you didn't use it.

srs922 submitter 1 Build 1 point 46 months ago

I did actually. I was getting horrible temps with the pre applied paste that came with the cooler. Even with the new thermal paste, I still don't get very good temps. I'm open to any suggestions if you have any

casebuilder 1 Build 1 point 44 months ago

what are said horrible temps?

srs922 submitter 1 Build 1 point 44 months ago

temps as far as 102C. But that was when it was overclocked at 4.5Ghz.

casebuilder 1 Build 1 point 44 months ago

thats pretty high, but then again the h60 is a small rad, try a push/push fan configuration

Songster 1 Build 1 point 44 months ago

Awesome build!

Also, I have the same Corsair H60 as you, ...so try mounting the radiator with the hoses coming from the bottom, not the top. In the manual for it, Corsair says that is the optimal way for the cooling of the cpu.

Looks good!

similar to my next build too

Got you to 100 upvotes :)

linsyschopman 1 point 44 months ago

98C is still too hot for that CPU with that cooler. Did you mount the cooler properly?

srs922 submitter 1 Build 1 point 44 months ago

Oh sorry I forgot to change it. It got that hot when at full load when it was over clocked to 4.5. When I got the graphics card for my system I had to under clock it because it kept crashing. I haven't ran a stress bench test for it yet. But yes I do agree that 98 is way hot for the cooler. There is no other way to mount it to get better temps. I don't know if getting another cooler like the H80i will do any better.

linsyschopman 1 point 44 months ago

The H80i won't do much better. for a 4.5Ghz overclock it's not too bad to be honest. What do you mean you had to underlock the GPU?

srs922 submitter 1 Build 1 point 44 months ago

No I had to underclock the CPU. They GPU stays the same.

legomyego1010 2 Builds 1 point 44 months ago

Looks great but some red sleeved cables would make this build really shine!

srs922 submitter 1 Build 1 point 44 months ago

I so desperately want the corsair red sleeves but they are just so pricy. Know any ways to get them for cheap? I prefer full length because I hate the black cables as they are really hard and hard to bend.

juheebus 1 Build 1 point 44 months ago

I purchased the white corsair sleeved cables for my rm750 and i would honestly just sleeve my own. I only got them because they were on sale for $40 with the 24pin and a **** ton of extra cables.

luisflo 1 Build 1 point 44 months ago

Great Build! Nice and clean.

CarterBond 1 point 44 months ago

I have a air cooler and my idle is like 11-15. I have a different CPU so maybe thats why.

karijuana 1 Build 1 point 44 months ago

Love it! Just hate how optical drives can make the Obsidian cases a little less sleek, nothing on your part though! :D

Crying_Reaper 1 Build 1 point 44 months ago

Really wish I would have known about this case before I did my build. I love my R4 but I think I would just love the size factor of this case. R4 is just huge for a mid sized case. Awesome build!

navyseal470@gmail.com 1 point 43 months ago

nice looking very inexpensive

VDragn 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Nice stuff

Look into doing the stealth cover mod fro your dvd drive, if you havent already~~ looks so nice with that mod

srs922 submitter 1 Build 1 point 43 months ago

Yeah. I took it out since I don't use it anymore. But I will if I ever decide to put it to good use some day.

Infixite 1 Build 1 point 41 months ago

Did you have to mod the two 140mm fans in the front to fit there? I'm having some doubts if they fit normally. I may get this case and I'd love to put two AF140s in the front.

srs922 submitter 1 Build 1 point 41 months ago

Nope. They fit just fine and perfectly in the front. Corsair's fans are pretty much designed for their cases. At first they are a bit difficult to get in, but once you get them in then its smooth sailing from there. they are also easier to get out but you will have no problem putting them in. Great fans, very quiet, love them a lot. Good luck on your build. Great case too if you are wondering.

Infixite 1 Build 1 point 41 months ago

I already own a few AF140s in my current rig, I'm just wondering about the fitting of them in the 350D. I have a 500r from Corsair right now, and I wanna downsize to the 350D.

srs922 submitter 1 Build 2 points 41 months ago

They will fit fine, trust me. If I had issues with them I would have put them in the description. There are tons of other build on this website including Google images with these same fans in the front.

iamwildbear 1 point 39 months ago

doesnt the H60 come with pre applied thermal compound?

srs922 submitter 1 Build 1 point 39 months ago

yes it does. It is also pretty good.

iamwildbear 1 point 39 months ago

heh just didnt get why you needed the extra compound :P

srs922 submitter 1 Build 1 point 39 months ago

My CPU temps were really high when stress testing them and I thought the paste was bad and so I got some different thermal paste to see if it would fix the problem. Well it didn't and realized that it was Prime 95 that was over volting my CPU, causing me to get temps of over 100C. So yeah.

smikoczi 1 Build 1 point 39 months ago

Nice build. I've had my 350d for about a week now and the case is great. I will be adding two AF 140's for front intake and two AF 120's on the top for exhaust along with the AF 120 I have on the back.

I'm a Corsair fan as well but with cables I went with Bitfenix extensions and they made it look great for a lot cheaper than the Corsair cables. If you're still looking, they might be a good (cheaper) option.

+1 for a sexy case

iamwildbear 0 points 37 months ago

If you want it to look even better( at a ridiculus price) you should get the Armour for the motherboard. even though it would mean removing the cooler, im sure you didnt use ALL that paste :3
