Description

I built an x99 system for the home last year. Well in the past month or so my wife went into an even more minimalist stage. And at one point I proposed the idea of building a small white pc.

About two weeks later these parts arrived and this is what I came up with.

There is no dedicated gpu because we don't really use the computer at home for all that much. Email/youtube/and her blog. The x99 system I built was for video editing/3d modeling projects - but I didn't have as much time as I would have liked to work on them at the hours I would want to after our first child. So it's now at work with me where I can play with it all day.

Down the road if I end up editing some more at home I'll probably add another 8gb of ram and maybe a gtx960 or something from pascal. But this handles all of our needs for now.

I liked the way the build came out so much that I talked my mom into letting me build something similar except it will be using a silverstone mini itx case that I liked a lot and wanted to use for this build but in the end left it up to the wife.

And hp makes a pretty darn nice monitor although you can't really tell from my pictures here. There is no panel bleeding either those last pictures were taken in the dark with a cellphone.

It's cheap too. Has already survived some wailing from my daughter- window material seems better than my fractal r5 too

Any issues running with that Mobo? I am looking at it for a Pentium build for web browsing.

only one problem was a usb port was partially blocked by either the io plate or another piece that wasn't tucked in when the usb ports were set. I honestly didn't even look at it that thoroughly - and probably would just have to bend the part but didn't really care as I noticed it after It was all done

I even bought the same mobo for a computer I'm building for my mom, it runs well and other than that one thing it's been flawless
