Description

They got this Acer from a friend of theirs. So I upgraded it. Got to install the Corsair H60, it came with 1TB HDD just added another 1TB HDD. Got a new video card and power supply. the case came from a trade. So really didn't have that much to spend.

I don't mind feedback.

Yay! Make your children happy and productive building them (or making them to build it) a PC, instead of buying them a useless PS4! THAT's the right way to go.

I'd take time to clean out the case for an hour or two. A bunch of dust like that can affect cooling performance.

I think the only thing they spent money on was the video card and PSU... So $150 out of pocket for a computer kids can use for school work. From the way i read the short description they already had the aio and found a purpose to use it, already had a 1tb hd so he put inning as well, the rest was already there.

Like everyone else, I'd go over this guy with a can of air, but beyond that it seems like it'd run smoothly for most kids'/school needs. Got any pictures showing the full case? I'm interested to see how it looks!

If I was you, I probably will clean the chassis first...

Needs a cleaning for sure. also this CPU is locked and I can't imagine you will need a CPU cooler like this.

also for a few dollars more you could have purchased a GTX 960 which would be a much better GPU for the price

Almost twice the price is not "a few dollars."

not realy you can get 4GB gtx 960s for $170 and 2GB ones for even cheaper. the 380 is a better card anyway tho.

The i3 was free, as well as the motherboard and memory. I think.

The only things he spent money on were the video card, power supply, and a new hard drive. So, his is still cheaper...

Gosh, why don't you read the description? Also, nothing feels better than having first gen CPUs :-V
