Description

Inspired by D.Va from Overwatch.

Case has been recolored to match D.Va's theme. All metal pieces have been powder coated, plastic pieces were primed and painted, then covered with a matte clear coat. Case frame has been changed to white (originally black). Side panels now pink, inspired by her MEKA. Green accent colors (grills), are based on the MEKA window color. Plastic pieces are blue to match her bodysuit.

The vinyls I think really set the build apart, makes it look a lot more complete. I plan to get a MEKA vinyl made, but either have to find a nice looking vector or design it myself. This is planned for a future revamp.

To save space, the custom water cooling loop was done without a reservoir. This was a lot more tricky than I thought. I spent about 1.5hrs rolling the case around and slowly bleeding out the air bubbles (I have a valve which you may see in the pictures). Once I find a Mountain Dew bottle I may make that the reservoir.

Overclocking: CPU runs at 4.8GHz. GPU at 2.1GHz.

After 6hrs+ of yelling "Nerf This!" the loop gets to 55C. A little warm, but with only this single radiator it's not too bad. Fans are in push/pull on the radiator.

Overall I'm quite pleased with the build. If anyone wants to see it in person, I go to the CritGamer LAN parties in Tyler, TX.

+1 for Mei-bae

mrasperez 4 points 10 months ago

Fun D.Va Story, I watched a D.Va player use self destruct when they got hooked by a Roadhog during a team fight. It was a glorious team kill.

Xizt 1 Build 3 points 10 months ago

Amazing looking build!

I'm guessing your main should be D.VA?

+1, great modding, how is the case?

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Thanks!

Yep it is~! Although I used Hanzo pre-patch (hides).

I love the case, little tricky to build in, but not too bad.

Xizt 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Your welcome!

=o spamzo

Polioltergiest 3 Builds 3 points 10 months ago

just asking how did you make the Bunny logo on the front?

looks like a LED with a picture of the bunny to me

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 2 points 10 months ago

LCD screen that's part of the case. Can upload a jpg/png to it.

Hascar5 2 points 4 months ago

The CPU is at 4.8GHz! wow

vagabond139 5 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

Nice paint job, it looks professional done. Also nice overclocks. +1

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Yeah, I brought all the metal pieces to a local shop. They do amazing work.

Vinyl_Scratch_ 1 point 10 months ago

That's one hell of a paint job. I completely approve! What paint did you use though? I'm awfully curious

Overall a very sleek and well done mod with some solid parts as well. I approve 1+

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 2 points 10 months ago

Powder coating from a local shop, not sure what they used specifically. Spray paint (what I did), was some outdoor paint/primer stuff I found at Lowe's.

Thanks!

SmartWolf 1 point 10 months ago

I've always liked that case. Good original application of it. +1 Sure looks small...i'll have to study what it can/cannot fit.

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

It is pretty compact. Be VERY careful of height. The plugs on top of the GPU waterblock actually push out the side panel some. It is very slick when it's all said and done though.

mjtcraft 1 point 10 months ago

By the way, I love your case and paint job. If it was cheaper, I would've even bought one! That's how nice it looks!

jp876 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Lol Tyler, TX? I just live nearby (Shreveport, LA). I didn't know they would have LAN parties around here. Nice build man, it will take years before they "NERF THIS".

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 2 points 10 months ago

Yep! We have some people come from Shreveport (and further). You should come to the next LAN! http://critgamer.com/

We all have a pretty good time there.

jp876 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Thanks, I'll think about going next time :D

huangtu 1 point 10 months ago

My senses tell me next feature! My only suggestion would be to get a backplate for your gpu purely for aesthetic purposes.

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Yes I agree! But the only backplate at the time said 1080 on it an I'm not a liar. I did see they have a backplate now so I will be picking it up sometime soon. Because I agree, it does really polish it off (since you can see that side).

Nicholas0628 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Ho-lee shiet. Awesome to see such dedication and creativity in a build. Very well done!

Logical_Motion 3 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

is that a corsair 400C back panel? :(

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Uhm, no. What makes you say that?

Logical_Motion 3 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

I meant on the bed.

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Ohh! Nope. Side panel from a ThermalTake Core X7.

ajpinton 11 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

Good parts list and amazing job on the custom paintjob. Even a sacrificial lam case panel to stand the featured computer on. +1 for sure mate. Waiting on this to be featured.

TeyKey1 2 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

It's freekn nice!

JoeyHall 3 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

Very nicely done lovely paintjob :0

InvaderGir 1 point 10 months ago

Damn that looks good. :)

biggles5107 2 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

Nice paint job and custom loop!

I also like how you made use of the display on the front of the case.

tejadam868 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

This is badass. All you need now are some sleeved cables to go with the color scheme and some lights like she's setting off her ult lol. +1

arda1907 2 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

do you realize what you have done! this is gonna be a trend my friend +1 very nice job

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

I want to build more OW themed builds now ;-;

I totally would if I was sponsored.

Jesso2k 7 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

Looks great! What kind of voltage are you running to the cpu to hit 4.8?

colinreay 2 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

Wow, the uniqueness here is awesome! I'm not an overwatch player, but looking at pictures of D.Va and her MEKA, this PC fits perfectly into the style of them, props as well for doing a full loop sans reservoir, a Mt. Dew bottle would be perfect. Wish I lived in Texas so I could see this beautiful rig in person!

Also, is there a possibility of some slick custom cables on the horizon? I'd love to see the build with them inside

Unicyclemen 1 point 10 months ago

I wonder what you play with this ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Rainbow6Sheep 2 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

From the name and the colour scheme, I would say they're a Genji main.

Myself.

rpmcnama 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

This is fantastic! Great job :)

digah2750 1 point 10 months ago

I bet that DVa gets play of the game all the time just like the regular one :P

Well even if it didn't get play of the game, it definitely got upvote of the digah. GOOD JOB THIS PC IS LIT

SpecificAlduin 2 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

Wow. Awesome! This gets my +1.

ssb0013 1 point 10 months ago

This is sweet!

Huddy40 1 point 10 months ago

Awesome job! I am confused why you have the psu fan intaking from inside your pc. Does it not have vents below it? Hot air from rads seems like poor air temp for intake.

AceBalthazar 2 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

it's high noon.

good build btw :D

MY WAIFU!!!!

GhostyTester348 1 point 10 months ago

Nice, but why the 6600k? If i went all out i would have went 8gb of ram and the i7-6700k

Nicholas0628 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

The 6600k seems to have much better value. For being over $150 (Canadian) cheaper, the overclock at least this one here is CRAZY! Some people can only overclock the 6700k to ~4.7

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Yeah, I'm pleasantly surprised with my OC. It takes 1.4V to get 4.9GHz though.

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

I don't have a need for an i7. I have another computer build (which I haven't posted) for computer stuff. Dual 12-core Xeon build.

Geode1010 2 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

Wow, just wow...

desensifry 1 point 10 months ago

Dude, you're cool. The build is cool. The paint is cool. You're cool.

Hasuen 1 point 10 months ago

Hey so i was wondering how did you do all this? I want to make a batman themed pc. I would love some tips and help cuz i need it!

odwillia 1 point 10 months ago

Impressive job! Nice!

NeoKorean 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

I approve.

L.O.L.

instacheese245 1 point 10 months ago

Holy, that's one of the best overclocks I've seen! Great aesthetic and build overall! Thanks.

lightningfastVCRrepair 1 point 10 months ago

Nice, but tracer/reindhart are better!

Beerwagon 1 point 10 months ago

This is an awesome build. D.Va is my favorite, and I really want to do a similar themed mod to my system now. Impressive casework.

Nicholas0628 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Dayum, that is quite the overclock! Many people are saying they can only get it up to ~4.2 but you get 4.8GHz? Teach me master...

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

When in doubt. MOAR VOLTZZZZ. And win the silicon lottery xD..

Cesium 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Tyler isnt very far from where I live! I may come see that sometime

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Come to the LAN!

Mechanic_Meow 1 point 10 months ago

Wow ur dedicated well done

bruhle 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

It's really cool when people take the time to customize their PCs to this extent. You did a great job! +1

Perhaps you could put in an RBG LED light strip for a matching color scheme?

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Thank you very much!

I plan on it. Got a few more mods I want to complete. RGB lighting is in the list.

TerminalVelociraptor 1 point 10 months ago

Really love your build, did you bring the case parts to an auto shop to be sprayed? And also did you just give them the Vinyl and tell them where to apply it?

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 2 points 10 months ago

I disassembled the case, had them powdercoated at a local shop. I designed the vinyls and had them cut at FastSigns. I applied them myself.

TerminalVelociraptor 1 point 10 months ago

May I ask the brand of paint you had used along with the method of application?

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Since the powder coating was done at a shop, I'm not sure the brand they used. As for the blue plastic pieces, I used an outdoor paint/primer in a rattlecan. Can't remember the brand, but it was the only one that matched.

TerminalVelociraptor 1 point 10 months ago

Did you use anything to give it that glossy finish?

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Nope. Nothing extra for the gloss.

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Found the brand for the spray paint (the blue parts), Rust-Oleum! They have a Paint & Primer rattle can.

TerminalVelociraptor 1 point 10 months ago

Alright thanks!

humzah320 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

thats pretty awesome

death9251 1 point 10 months ago

Not gunna lie, i'm not a fan of flashy cases but im sitting here drueling lol because that is actually pretty simplistic and yet showing off as if its ready for anything. +1 for the subtle feel of it and the part selection. Absoulutely phenominal.

jnanof 32 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

WrathofBill 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

TunaTheTuner 1 point 10 months ago

seems like a small case to do custom water cooling in,

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Very small, couldn't even include a res.

PS1054205 1 point 10 months ago

i would buy this omg

Congrats on the feature! Great build :)

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Thanks!

"El Oh El hihi" +1. Very good build!

aznate8 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

now if you play tracer you would get crucified XD great build :)

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

If I tried building a Tracer computer I'd have trouble with all my pieces being 3 seconds in the past!

aznate8 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzz that was great

Eletato 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

:D

Thanks~

Epsilon7 1 point 10 months ago

wow nice work!!!! i love it!

archlinuxos 4 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

Seems that you won the silicon lottery on that CPU. Mine was stuck at 4.5 xD lol. Even my 6700k can only get to 4.7.

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 2 points 10 months ago

Yeah! I can't really go over 4.8 though. 4.9 takes over 1.4V, such a massive jump in voltage ;-;

I'm still very please with the OC.

I have just one word, Holy $h!+

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Yay featured! Glad everyone likes it.

Volcanoe00 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Awesome build dude. Time to raise my APM!

Chris_Staebell 1 point 10 months ago

This is a really nice build. Good job

geardeath 1 point 10 months ago

That moment when you thought it was a pimped out xbox 360 at first.

Rogue_Faction 1 point 10 months ago

This case has some personality to it! Great job, personally I would have made the mesh Blue and used a green window tint for the side window, I feel that would stand out a bit more. I love that you got D.Va's ult symbol on the LCD, and the sticker is a nice break from all that pink.

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Yeah, I'm unsure of the mesh color. Thinking of re-doing it. So full blue top?

I love the green window tint idea. In D.Va computer 2.0 I plan to make the side window with additional pieces of plastic make it look like her shield.

majorjay18 1 point 10 months ago

So cool! With D. Va being my main, I am pretty jealous!

Sages 1 point 10 months ago

Really cool build, love the artwork you did on the side of the chassis.

Dez0late 1 point 10 months ago

Adorable and perfect. I love it.

Bexy 5 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

Yay it's pink +1 :)

kinema 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Love it! Have you considered switching to pink tubing though?

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Yeah I have, I just had the purple on-hand.

Meithen 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

I have never played as D.Va before, Roadhog is my main tank, but this is amazing.

Great build!

tenkhrs 1 point 10 months ago

you should sell this stuff! it's really pretty

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

If someone would buy, sure!

nuked24 3 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

Holy CRAP. This is utterly amazing.

Getting a loop into Pandora's box(ayyyy lol) is no small feat, really great job. Super clean looking.

Artemis- 1 point 10 months ago

Hey, this is a beautiful build! Great work.

I have a question actually about the vinyl you used to make the D.Va face on the side panel - did you use regular sized printer paper vinyl for each piece or one very large sheet of vinyl?

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 2 points 10 months ago

I had it cut at a FastSigns shop. So whatever they used. I just supplied the files.

acezone 2 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

Overwaifu build check! good job!

darkmanner94 1 point 10 months ago

How did you do the LED logo on the front of it? Did you have it customized?

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

It's a USB screen that came with the case.

uhWoah 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

That's so sick. Wish I had some case modding skills, haha

GoodGamingPC 22 Builds 1 point 10 months ago

Best Bitfenix custom I've seen in long time! +10

BortWosniak 1 point 10 months ago

Nice build! +1! Just wondering if you know any other cases that are Mid ATX that look like this, like sleek edges. As close to this as possible.

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Thanks! And not really. Since the other ones I know of have harder edges. The Phanteks Evolv is pretty sweet. A friend of mine has one, very nice case. But that might be a bit too squared off for what you are looking for.

BortWosniak 1 point 10 months ago

Thanks for trying to help. I would've went MicroATX, but I prefer MidTower. I was going to do the same thing as you except for Mei or Genji (my two favorite). Anyways, thanks!

BortWosniak 1 point 10 months ago

Wow. I don't know how I didnt find this at first, but there is one for Standard ATX. How did I miss it? lol

NZXTmk1 1 point 10 months ago

it's a super cool build!!! WTF the case and the theme are awsome.....

[instantly nerfed the second Kaby Lake processors come out]

corneal35 1 point 7 months ago

out of curiosity how did you make the case? did you send in a design and they costume made it for you?

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

Not a custom case. Standard Bitfenix Pandora. I just took it apart to get it powder coated.

EmoryLeaddis 1 Build 1 point 7 months ago

god i love this so much aaaaaaaaaaaaaa

badgamersdie 1 point 7 months ago

+1 for title lmao

Scherzo 1 point 7 months ago

Holy **** man this is awesome

ImYourChrist 1 point 6 months ago

+1 for the excellent CPU choice and oc (What settings do you play at?) +1 for the customization and colours +1 for using a Bitfenix case! (I'm a former Bitfenix Shinobi German Edition owner myself) That's +3 pts from me!

Penguin90S 1 point 5 months ago

As a Bastion main, I am offended by this. People are racist towards my kind.

JK, great build.

GREENP4W 1 point 5 months ago

Wait I'm confused, it says purchased so if we click onto the case then it would already have the vinyls or do you have to do it yourself

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 5 months ago

I made and applied the vinyls myself.

GREENP4W 1 point 5 months ago

:< damn... I thought it came in like this..... at least I can dream... :/ Feels bad man

Soulzaroth 1 point 3 months ago

Everything about this rig just looks incredible. I'm highly impressed with the paint job but more so with the custom liquid cooling loop. Amazing how you managed to fit all of that tubing inside of such a small chassis and still manage to make it work, even though the temperature isn't necessarily... "optimal". It still functions very nicely like it's supposed to and that's all that matters. Plus on a side note it's just very aesthetically pleasing. Eye candy. I love how you only used solid state quality storage rather than relying on any sort of magnetic drive to store data, but I'm not very satisfied with the lack of storage capacity in this. Not even 1TB? Hmm...

Overall, this thing really reminds me of a pink Xbox 360 (for some odd reason). It's just so cool to look at. I'd give this a 9.5/10.

angerthosenear submitter 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

Thanks for the response!

As for storage. I have a NAS with 16TB of storage (magnetic and SSD cache), so I don't need much storage inside my computers.

Soulzaroth 1 point 2 months ago

Word that's sick bro. Cheers!

Maybe, I got such good clocks out of my i5 that I'm not sure I want to rid of it. I might put it in another computer however and jump to an i7.

Waiting to see about a 1080Ti.
