Description

Got into PC gaming about a year ago, by purchasing a MSI gaming laptop and loved it! As my love for being apart of the Master Race grew the games I was playing started to demand more. I could tell that my laptop was still working just fine and doing things i wanted it to do but I could tell it was holding me back. So I went for it! With the help from some buddies I put together a build that i could afford and a build that could handle pretty much any thing I wanted to use it for. I'm a A/V Pro teacher and avid gamer so this build was made to fit my needs in both areas. I've had it built for about a week now and i couldn't be happier with it.

Before the build I found myself watching video after video on "How to Build a PC" videos and man was that a good idea. When I finally had all of my parts laid out on my desk and ready to go there was a moment of "What have i got myself into". But with the power of Youtube i worked up the courage to begin the build. As the build progressed there where moments of excitement, depression, rage, regret, and pure bliss when I was finally able to hit the power button and see my fans begin to spin and the beautiful glow of the graphics card. I was extremely worried about the cable management part of the build but i found that patience and planning was crucial for this part. I was very happy with how clean the build came out. I held off on the RGB part for the time being but I do plan to add a LED strip or two to brighten up the build. The case comes with 2 fans (1 in 1 out), I plan to add at least 1 more fan up front to increase air flow.

Overall I couldn't be happier with my build and the way it turned out. Please leave some comments/suggestions on what ya think about the build!

Clean build, though I would recommend getting faster ram, there's one that's 3200mhz CL16 G.Skill Ripjaws series for like 14 dollars more than your current ram sticks.

Why 24'' 1440 p and not 27 or bigger

Cost may have been a limiting factor towards monitor size.

the 24" version is 330 while the 27" is 460

Why a 27" monitor? 24" is plenty large if you sit up straight. 24" models cost significantly less and don't take up as much desk space.

To be honest I got a awesome deal on it. It was my first monitor purchase, hooked it up to my laptop so it was major upgrade from the laptop screen. I could see myself going larger next time but for a g-sync monitor I couldn’t pass on it.

Awesome build. Great price on that Monitor, I paid 399$ for it myself and I'm still happy with that price. All I will say is that the 212 has an all black version that is a few dollars more but significantly better looking. There's nothing wrong with the standard 212 but it can give your computer a dated look.

Yea got the monitor on sale at Best Buy about a month ago. I saw the all black rgb the other day. Looks so sick!

very fast! have had zero problems so far. Loading into games is so quick, its nice to be one of the first in instead of everyone waiting on me to load in. Highly recommend

Thank you for replying. I'm definitely looking into this ssd as a game storage drive. Edit: Nice build btw, forgot to say this before, its a really clean build!

No problem and thank ya! I got the ssd at a great price, not running a HDD in the build so the 1 TB has been plenty of storage. for example, on my laptop i was consistently afk when loading into PUBG, with this ssd it takes no time at all. Its been great for game storage so far.
