Description

CPU cooler : The CM Seidon 120v came bundled with the case. Pump may get loud at times, but once everything settles down, its tolerable.

MOBO: V edition have no on board WiFi, but I managed to save a couple of bucks going LAN, which is nice.

GPU : Initially bought the Sapphire 280x Toxic before the mining craze last December, which explains the first picture, but then I found a slightly below MSRP XFX 290x on Amazon. Who could have said no? =p

That and the artifact problems I've been suffering with my 280x toxic led me to this upgrade. The XFX card is silent and the temperature under load is pretty good too. Few things that I miss from my 280x though is the temperature LED and it's shining yellow Sapphire LED on it's side. The XFX 290x do have some lights, but putting it on it's front side means that it would indefinitely face down in a normal case.

Case : The CM690 III is a beautiful case, but I do have some gripes with it. The front dust filter is a pain to remove as you may need to open up either one of the side panels to get to them. The rubber grommets are also not initially in the packaging, so you have to contact the customer service to get them delivered. Other than that, it is pretty much a very good looking case.

Very nice build! That XFX lighting on the graphics card is sexy!

It certainly is. Probably would look even better in a case like the mitx Prodigy with a clear side panel. =)

That case is gorgeous. Sleek lines, dark colours. Mmmmm

Love this build. The video card is gorgeous too. +100 if I could

Underrated case IMHO. Glad you liked it. =)

It is an underrated case! More people should see it. Also, since the CPU cooler is included with the case I don't think you should list it as a separate item.

Very nice build!, I just realized I'm currently doing something quite similar! I have a question as-well about the chassis. Does it come with the windowed side panel? I continually see it shown without a windowed panel.

Oh, I think there are two versions of them going around, the one with the window and the one without. I know the one they sell bundled with the CPU cooler at Newegg comes with the windowed side panel, but apparently they're out of stock. =\

Well, I need help finding a provider selling one with the windowed side panel.

How are you liking the XFX 290x DD?

Just wanna ask, what did you do with the pre-installed 120mm rear fan?

Sorry for the late reply. Initially I used them on the bottom intake, but that created a very messy dust problem; so I just didn't use them anymore. They are quite noisy anyway.
