Description

First rig that I built. Never owned a custom rig before so I went a little crazy on my first pc. Always wanted to game in highest setting and I always opt for low settings and everything set to off. It's 2014 go big or go home.

Received my Qnix 1440p moniter and it has light backlight bleed and no dead pixles and overclock to 96hz :)

Waiting on another back plate for the 780Ti that is back ordered to be shipped.

The only hassle for the whole build was mounting the H100i with 4 SP120s and figuring out which fan header to use! But I managed to plug all 4 SP120s into the CHA_fans using the splitters :) and the rest of the fans into the OPT_fan headers

Very nice and welcome to the Corsair 540 club lol.

It's a dream to work with huh. I agree about the ram i would have went with faster CAS as opposed to clock speed. The Dom Platinum's are awesome though and the subtle white glow matches my white case great.

Wow. Very nice cable management. Nice choice in parts too. This build will probably last a long time for you, lol. Have you tried overclocking yet? Your 100i is going to give you a great overclock on your i7.

Just finished putting it together last night and did a first boot. Didn't even install the OS to it yet. I'll do it once my keyboard, mouse and monitor arrives :)

I took a look at it. Full ATX case, plenty of room to work with. I think I'll be fine going with a mid tower though.

I like your build and the choice of some really great parts, but you overpaid on your RAM, some think just because they are the most expensive that they are the best but that is not the case. Overall good job.

Yes. I could of went with the CAS 9 2133mhz ram. But I said eff it. Lol I do that sometime.

Two 780Ti's for a first time build, I'm going to kill myself! This build is amazing! Same monitor as my sh**ty computer lol. My build isn't even close to this good! I only have a 760 w/ an 8320 :P

  • 1 point

Yeah. I never had a custom built rig, always bought pre built pc from HP...lol. so I went a little crazy. Too crazy as my fiancee told me!

My parents always get HP's too, currently on an AMD Phenom II 830 @2.8GHz with Integrated ATI Radeon 4200 lol.

New build will be 760 w/ an 8320 as I said above :P

I've got to ask. Did you have the carpet professionally cleaned before taking the pictures of the different items laying on it? I mean, it is SO clean looking, just like the build itself. And $4k for the cost. Wow! You have a beautiful machine there even if you had gone budget. That case is something special looking. I would love to see some lighting added so as to really highlight all the quality hardware inside. Thanks for sharing everything.

Yeah. Awsome case. But one thing i didn't like is that the bottom isn't seal. Gotta get a filter for it. Other than that case is awsome.

That 540 looks positively badass without the grill over the fans.

  • 2 points

Lol. I was thinking about spraying the grill to red or gold?

  • 1 point

If you can pull off red I say go for it. I have left paint blotches on way to many things in my past to let it anywhere near my pc.

  • 1 point

I mean the whole grill is removable. I can lightly sand it and spray it?

  • 1 point

I'm sure you can but that's outside my scope.

DAMN!! My first rig, if you could call it that was worth a tops of like 500 bucks

  • 2 points

Lol! I went all out due to the fact that I never owned a custom built rig before, and i got tired of buying per-built computer from HP etc. and I think its the right time in age that i want to enjoy my games and not have to play at low settings and everything set to off...lol

I didn't run into any problems. Its been tested and its okay to run it at 1.65v. I Enable XMP and it auto tunes it to 2400mhz and my CPU to 3900mhz. Running good. No problems at all.
