Description

Hey all! This is my first build, and I'll be upgrading it as time goes on. I put it all together on April 10th, 2014, it took 3-4 hours I think. Though I'm not entirely sure... since I didn't get much sleep because I was waiting for the final parts to arrive!

Anyway! I plan to overclock it soon, once I figure how to do it exactly. Currently installing everything, haven't gotten to play any games quite yet. I plan to use it for gaming, recording, and video editing to post on my youtube channel.

For my fans, I have the two NZXT as intake in the front of my case. On top I have one Noctua fan as intake, the other (the one closer to the rear) is exhaust. The back fan is exhaust.

I used velcro straps for cable management, and I think it turned out alright! Hope you all like it! Let me know what you think!

Oh right. The HDD and OD were salvaged from my old computer. I plan to add an SSD, and a new HDD in the future!

Edit: Forgot to change the memory/GPU price. They were in a combo and I had just split the total between them. I instead subtracted half the combo discount from their base price.

Edit 2: After about a day of use, the initial power supply failed. A week and a half later, we're back up and running.

Not very balanced, too weak graphics card for that CPU. Would have gotten a 4670K.

Exactly, for $100 less on the CPU, he could have got GTX 770 or R9 280X

Having a weak cpu and strong cpu isn't as bad as having a strong gpu and a weak gpu . Computer aren't just for gaming :3

I wanted a strong CPU because I plan to do more than just gaming. Video editing and such! Plus, I might get a better graphics card in the future!

I think there is a 30% difference in video rendering performance between the 4770K and the 4670K, so I would not say it would be worth it in such a cheap editing rig.

Why the 4GB card? Planning on SLI in the future?

My guess is price - that's a great price for that card.
