Description

After gaming on a very old pavilion dv6 laptop with 512mb of graphics I decided it was time for a upgrade. This was my first pc build and honestly I thought it would be alot harder than it actually was, Cable management was a breeze in this system and I am very happy with the overall outcome.

Part Reviews

CPU

Really good processor especially for the price, the stock cooler is great and keeps the cpu cool @3.4ghz at only 22.0° C idle. I have nothing to complain about this processor.

Motherboard

This mobo is fine and is one of the cheapest b350 boards that I could get at the time, it doesn't look too bad and most of the white gets covered up by the gpu. The only issue I had was that I couldn't connect to Ethernet when the system had booted up and installed windows, which I had to install drivers from my laptop, put them onto a USB and then install them onto my pc (It was the LAN driver) but after that everything else has been fine and overall a decent mobo.

Memory

Great ram, the heat spreaders look great and it was all I needed. it fits the build nicely.

Storage

Great SSD, windows boot time is AMAZING on this and i have no issues at all.

Storage

Good HDD for extra storage I need, Does it's job well.

Video Card

At first I was a bit skeptical about buying this card with the white/orange theme and no back plate, but honestly in person it still looks amazing and much better than I thought it would. The card stays at around 36.0° C idle in OC mode, the aorus rgb software is easy to use. Reading through some reviews on this card people were saying that there was horrible coil whine but I am still yet to hear it, overall a really great card and pushes out some amazing frames during gaming. I also managed to get destiny 2 for free so that was a cool bonus! :)

Case

Good case and looks amazing, the only issue I have is that the fans are stuck on 100% the whole time, which makes it quite loud It would be really nice to have a fan speed controller. but overall the case looks great and the LED's light up the whole case.

You know that first pc that your mom bought you when you were a kid? Everyone around me had their moms buy 1080ti's while my system had simply a 960. I regret not at least getting a 1070

Shame you didn't get a 1070. I have a Superclocked 1070 from EVGA in my build and the power is amazing.
