Description

I use this mostly for gaming and media.

Build is a year old and monitor is about 4 years old.

7850 was $220 and 7870 was $290 and past drivers you could overclock the 7850 past the 7870 then. Thats why i went for the 7850 over the 7870.

Ram was a lot cheaper a year ago and the price was no different between 1600 and 1866 ram

Case is the newest buy for this build around Christmas time. This build has been in a Antec 300 and a Corsair Carbide Series 300R but got bored of those cases. Using the old cases for Media Centers.

If I were to change anything i would have gone for a Xeon E3-1230 v2 instead of the 3570k. I currently have a workstation build with that CPU in it and its hidden gem for intel CPU's

I would have skimped a little on the case or RAM and upped the GPU to 7870 ghz edition or XT.

Also, did you buy the mobo from Newegg? It's $5 more, but Newegg's Z77s usually come with a free stick of 8gb RAM. You can either use it or give it to a friend.

Otherwise, everything else looks solid. The wiring was very well done.

Bought all this stuff about a year ago. So no deal with the MB and Ram, but ram was a lot cheaper something like $50 if i remember correctly.

I like it a lot; big and lots of room to work in. It really isn't that bad to pick up and move around to LAN parties or different houses. So all in all i give it 5 stars. How about you?

Overkill on the case with this build, such overkill. Would of been fine with a Corsair Vengeance Case

I have a Antec 300, Corsair Vengeance and Corsair Carbide Series 300R; just got bored of them. Plus this build is kinda old so I didn't just build this yesterday. But thanks for the reply!!!!!
