----Edit: Winter 2013--12/19/13----

*Added a second monitor - Benq XL2420TE

*More desk space - Built a home made stand and mounted both monitors

*Cleaned up PC case - Sleeved Power Supply Cables, built shroud to hide Power supply cables, moved HDD bays to the bottom, Mounted SSD to back wall, rearranged other cables to look more clean.

*Changed Lights - Swapped green cold cathode light with white

Next time (I hope): GPU water cooling, more case modifications, better lighting, SSD addition(s)

I asked for a Dremel kit for Christmas so i'm going to have some fun!

No need for better cooler, runs fine at 95°C. BF4 does about 85fps on Ultra w/4xMSAA. If I went for a 4k monitor then I would have waited for aftermarket so I would have more headroom to OC. Also, there are already waterblocks for that.

Really only 85fps on ultimate? I'm getting around 80-120 FPS with CF 7850's. I was thinking about upgrading to a 780/290X.

Remember that he is also playing at 2560 x 1080 instead of just 1920x1080.

Drivers are still in beta so its not even optimized yet. Probably won't be until Mantle is released at the earliest.

290x reference cooler

Facepalm... Should've waited for aftermarket models.

Other than that nice!

holy **** that monitor is wide also are you going to add a custom loop ever ? and whats the raid space in the black hawk

Yeah the monitor is really nice. Plenty of desktop space to multitask, nice for gaming, and I can watch widescreen movies without the black bar on the top and bottom of the screen. Also I think this was a great compromise, returning from the unsatisfying Eyefinity setup I had. A custom loop is my next project when I get in the mood to tweak even further. Maybe even de-lid for the first time if it's even worth it. H100i was only meant to be temporary.

you could keep the h100 for your cpu and just add a 240mm rad and a bay res pump combo for the gpu

How you liking the 290x so far?

First single GPU I have owned where I can top out every game I play while staying above 60fps. I love it!

How did you get the h100i to fit? I've read so many people complain that it won't fit in this case.

I had to improvise. Radiator is mounted inside the case and the fans are inside the shroud on top of the case. I saw some guy cut holes in the top of the case to get it to fit. I didn't like that idea so I hunted down a pair of slim 120mm fans.(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835705066)

Really good idea with the slim fans. Did you ever run a comparison between the stock corsair fans and slim ones to see if you lost some cooling capability? I'm totally with you on not cutting up the case like I've seen in multiple youtube videos and posts. Another builder on here had an interesting idea though. He was able to use the stock fans and fit it by using the shorter screws on the fans (screws only go through the holes closest to the radiator) and cutting out a bit of the honeycomb where the fans meet the cover. Way better option than cutting into the metal of the case or doing any other major deconstruction.

I run the Gelids @ 1500rmp. (still silent) Only 4°C higher on load for comparison. Either way i'm happy with the clock I was hoping for.
