Description

This is a fancy show-off server I use for my company. We do web apps and stuff.

What I don't like is that the case fans run very loud and I have no control via the BIOS. I'll have to look into that.

I also added the Demciflex filter set for 75 EUR.

I'm at a loss as to why you got the GT 610. The integrated HD chipset in that i7 should be faster than the GT 610, shouldn't it? Unless maybe it's just to keep the system RAM free.

LGA2011 has no iGPU.

Oh, that explains it. Never mind.

Yeah, I kinda felt very dirty ordering the GT 610

eh. its okay. like you can watch movies and take on 3d. but some guy mentioned after like a couple fo hours not straight but in a period of time it fired up. so no 3d just in case

Both the i7-4790k and the i7-4770k outperform the 3820, and the 2011 platform is more expensive. Why did you choose the LGA2011 socket? You could have saved enough money for a GPU

I honestly didn't give it much thought. But I'll keep that in mind for a future build, thank you!

better pictures of the inside? Frankly we have all seen close up shots of an h100i.

Corsair Air 540 fan! Great build! and clean look! but i too recommend an upgrade on that graphics card. id recommend a used GTX 660ti or higher would be sufficent and last for a few years. Those blue LED's and black case.. sexy! 10/10!

why get a locked processor with a watercooler? Stock fan would do the job

OldBoy 4 points 41 months ago

The i7 3820 is very OC-able, also it doesn't come with a stock cooler.

It's not locked. Though it totally was a style choice, I admit :D
