Description

This rig replaces my 4 year-old AMD Phenom X6 1090T rig built in an Antec 900.

It will be used at QuakeCon 2014 as a gaming rig and play Star Citizen as well as edit video, create graphics and develop web sites.

Awesome build! and im guessing your adding that GPU to the waterloop at some point? Love these Haswell Refresh processes... if only i could find some cash to build a budget pc

THANKS!!! Most definitely.

I'd already completed the loop on this rapid-build and when I'd decided to upgrade to the 780 Ti, the GPU water block was out of stock EVERYWHERE :P

I'm considering upgrading the mobo to the VII Formula (also watercooled) and adding another pump+rad (240) when I get the GPU block, so... I'll be doing the loop over from scratch, LOL

Blue and red LED's? >:(

Yeah-yeah-yeah, I KNOW!!! ;)

The red LEDs are all on the motherboard. When I was researching the board I knew there was some lighting on the motherboard... as you can see there was more than I expected.

I'm still getting used to it - although since the only red is on the mobo it makes sort of a cool backdrop and would have gone well with my electrical=red, cooling=blue scheme I was intending. (Changes due to the short, 1-week timeframe for QuakeCon caused me to make some temp concessions)
