Description

My second build. Set up for my brother who wanted to be able to run BF4 at a decent framerate among other things.

Scored 5326 on the 3DMark Fire Strike test: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/2690423

Though the internals are exactly the same as the prodigy (or so iv been told). The card was an annoyance to plug in. The ports are facing upwards at the top right of the card, right at the mount for the cd drive (even though the front of the case has no drive bay slot). I think you can unscrew the mount but the screws were too tight to remove with the screwdriver I had at hand. I finally managed to fit the wires in though someone with larger hands would not be so lucky.

Exactly why I screenshotted it, so people would know what I was talking about when you updating it :P

wallywintrow1972 1 point 53 months ago

Maybe because he thinks his build is phenomenal, idk, actually not really a bad build, do not know what he is going to use it for, description is kind of lacking uhhh, any detail...

hjj174 2 points 53 months ago

The case name....

ND1Razor submitter 3 Builds 2 points 53 months ago

Phenom is the name of the case.

wallywintrow1972 3 points 53 months ago

Ah, didn't see that coming lol, nice build btw, case is actually pretty cool +1

deckeresq 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

Good part choices, but the cable management could be better. Still, +1.

ND1Razor submitter 3 Builds 1 point 53 months ago

Due to either the case or gpu it felt a lot more cramped than the prodigy(almost certain the case interiors the same as the prodigy though). Used cable ties unlike my first build so its a bit neater.

deckeresq 1 Build 1 point 53 months ago

Ah, that makes sense. It does seem pretty crowded. Definitely not trying to be critical, was just wondering if there was a reason. Thanks for clearing that up! :)

what is that keyboard? and the mouse?

Reconmidget 1 point 53 months ago

Steelseries mouse... I thinks it's called Sensei or something... Keyboard looks like a microsoft one...

alex591 1 point 53 months ago

It is the Sensei RAW rubber.

ND1Razor submitter 3 Builds 1 point 53 months ago

The keyboard is a Perixx PERIBOARD-310B, no longer in production im afraid, im looking to get it replaced.

Zedlox 1 point 53 months ago

Does it overheat?

PacificNic 4 Builds 1 point 53 months ago

What monitor is that? I like the slim look to it. Does it have VESA mounts?

ND1Razor submitter 3 Builds 2 points 53 months ago

Acer H226HQLbmid 21.5 inch No mounts that im aware of.

Budu 1 point 50 months ago

Do you have problems with your GPU? I'm asking because the minimum requirements for this card is a 750w PSU.

plgdg 1 Build 0 points 53 months ago

+1 simply because you used the same case as my build. Write a description before people downvote you into oblivion.

ND1Razor submitter 3 Builds 1 point 53 months ago

Thanks, just wrote a brief one, anything else I should mention?

mijik 0 points 52 months ago

Even though the case is called Phenom, you shouldn't call the build Phenom because 'Phenom' is an AMD processor

ND1Razor submitter 3 Builds 1 point 52 months ago

Fair point
