Description

My 3rd build so far, I built it for editing and media creation with a side of gaming. It has totally blown me away and I am very impressed with AMD right now. I cant see myself going back to Intel anytime soon. I have the Vega 56 overclocked and undervolted and its been hanging in there like a champ while the 2600x on the other hand hits 4.2 regularly on a modest overclock. Let me know what you guys think!

Is the Air boost loud or noticeable in games?

if its anything like my reference vega 64, its gonna be loud but not noticeable with headphones on.

It's exaggerated. I have an MSI Air Boost Vega 64 with a very aggressive fan curve, and I don't hear it at all with headphones on. I wouldn't recommend it if you plan on recording music with high quality microphones, as it will be a small, but manageable nuisance.

save up for that RADEON 7 BABY! I've heard those aren't much better with sound though.

if you have it in balanced mode its not bad if you are using speakers. with headphones I dont hear it at all on the undervolt overclock settings.

I have one - as standard it's not quiet, but it's not obnoxious or high pitched like some blower cards. You can use the toned down bios profile (switch on the back plate) and it's actually pretty quiet. Or just tune it yourself and set it however you want.

mine is in an SFF pc so you hear everything. in a case it would be better.

GAMMAXX GTE doesnt exist in the system yet so i put that there as a placeholder till it does.

While we are at it what temps are you getting?

after a 30 minute stress test on a mild overclock I got up to 68c and on the 4.2ghz overclock I get 75c. But honestly I get better performance with this cpu on a mild overclock because single core suffers once you push to 4.2ghz on my build.

Nice clean build. Doesn't that Deepcool Gammax GT cooler have RGBs LEDs in the heatsink as well?

So, is your cpu cooler dangerously close to the glass or is there a comfortable distance? I'm asking because the CM rgb 212 is 3 mm taller than the gammaxx gt and it's the 212 is the cooler that I am looking to get for my build.

Thanks!
