Description

Using for general home PC usage, gaming, videos. Originally tried with a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 rev 4.0 board but was having system lock up issues, so switched to the Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 and have had no problems.

The crossfire was a bad choice. For the $300 you spent, you could have gotten a MUCH better single card setup.

Why that crossfire setup!? For that $300 you could've gotten a 770 or a R9 280X which are both WAAAAAY nicer cards than these 2 pieces of junk!

I am assuming that he bought one card first and then later upgraded to Crossfire.

Even if that's the case I still think he should've sold the 7790 and get a 770 or 280x because the 7790 is like a 4 years old card if I'm not mistaken.

Problem is that the gtx 770 and 280x are going to be outdated this year with the release of the Maxwell based GPU's. We should see them in the next few months and well before the holidays.

Considering their performance compared to the price of this build, yes they are pieces of junk.
