Description

OOPS: The external HDD is purchased too. Hi all, This is my first gaming build, I know it's not the best in the world but I can play games... that's what's important. I might upgrade to gtx 760 and 8gb ram. Here are my opinions on every part. CPU: Amazing, 8 cores, 4GHz... Cooler: The same, I don't understand why it is 30$ ?!? Motherboard: One of the most used 990fx boards, it's decent, I like it. RAM: I like the heatsink, I'll upgrade to 8 GB soon, I'll use XMS3 too. HDD: Old, my actual one isn't even here, but it's WD 160GB. GPU: I did a mistake: I bought it when the 700-series were launching. Bad, I'm looking to get a GTX 760. Case: It looks amazing, but the cable management with it isn't good, but it's decent. It's also my first case to support CM. PSU: Yes, only 520W but it can Handle this system without any problems. External HDD: The reason I'm not using an Intenal HDD is because I needed something for my Smart TV too. Leds: Way too short but they glow cool.

I shouldn't have said that, lol. Removed it, because everyone would post about that not about the build itself lol.

I couldn't really see the cable management from the pics you uploaded, but I'd definitely make the upgrade to the 760 you mentioned in the info. I currently run a 760 with an 8320 and it is fantastic!

I'm not sure I agree with the the FX-8350 "Wiping the floor with any i5" comment.... I think people would argue that the Haswell i5 4670k is a superior processor. http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-4670K-vs-AMD-FX-8-Core-Black-8350/1538vs1489

Not saying what you did was wrong dude, but I'm guessing you're a new builder. I don't understand why new builders do so much research on components, but don't listen to anything else. Literally every youtube channel dedicated to PC hardware will say spend more on the graphics card than the processor. You literally bought AMD's previous flagship processor and NVidia's bottom of the range gaming GPU. If it does what you want it to do, thats really great, but you could have got it to do lots more if you did more research. +1 Overall, good looking build

I'm not a new builder, but neither a pro. The problem is, I had a ****** GT 430 and I wanted to get rid of it and I only had money for a 650ti back then. (August 2013 - then I was a new builder who didn't do research, now I'm not anymore) I know a FX 6300 and 750ti/660 would have performed better but I needed a new CPU (I bought the CPU on Tuesday, 8 april 2014) (I had a core 2 duo e8400). So I got the best for my money because if I bought a 760 at the same price, the E8400 would have bottlenecked it, even the 650ti was bottlenecked in these 8 months.

Wipes the floor with an i5...? The 8350 is a good CPU, but it in no way wipes the floor with a i5-4670.

the fx - 6300 performs on par with a core i5 http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-3570K-vs-AMD-FX-6300

By on par do you mean significantly worse? Also your link is for a i5-3570K and a 6300... We are talking an i5-4670K here.

Sorry about the link, But for a 100$ difference it is pretty similar in performance. However the i5 is a very good processor.
