Description

A friend of mine was in need of a new computer, and is a huge fan of Borderlands. Her birthday was coming up, and to treat herself she was buying a new computer in the ~$500 range. Since it was her birthday, I decided to paint her an awesome computer tower.

Using a Bitfenix Prodigy as the base I designed a Maliwan-inspired custom paint job for her case. It was also my first experience with painting a computer. Now, its about 95% done, the only thing left is to apply the maliwan logo and hexagon pattern to the sides, which are being cut as we speak. I had to ship it to her before I got the chance to apply them, but I will be visiting and hopefully doing so in the near future.

How did you paint it? I'm using the Prodigy White case. My pet recently died and he was white with black spots. I'm dedicating the PC to him as I feel it was my fault for his death. He was an English Spot so it would be white with black spots. How would you paint this?

you would like get a sheet of paper or a cloth make equals placed holes and the holes need to have the same diameter. and follow the steps he did

is this good for gaming?? like for new games right now???

  • 2 points

The 560Ti is probably showing it's age with new AAA titles such as Witcher 3, but it could still run them. If I were to build a new one right now I'd go with a 960 or 970 for sure. Other than that most of the other parts should be fine. I'd probably update the CPU to a 4690K or similar.

you could have got a 1gb 7850 for $100 instead of a 560 ti which is 2 generations old

  • 4 points

The 560 ti was picked up from an older build second-hand with the intention of upgrading it in the future. I told her now would be a good time to get a 7950 for ~190 to replace it.
