Description

Picked up most of the items on sale, just waiting to get all the parts in the mail and put this thing together. I wanted a PC for around $800. Without the monitor, I spent $795 so I met my goal.

Any thoughts on this build would be greatly appreciated, since this is my first build.

EDIT 3/5/15: Got a few 120mm case fans free after rebate. Installed 2 and lowered my idle CPU temp a couple degrees to 24° C and my GPU idle temp quite a bit to 25.0° C. Having 4 case fans now, the system is a bit loud, so I'm thinking about removing one of them.

Very impressed with this, how do you like the GPU?

Thanks, I'm quite impressed with what I got for under $800. I love the GPU so far, I have it overclocked to about a reference R9 290X. I was surprised by the size of the card, but knew it was big which is why I went for the case that I did. The case has great airflow so far. Now I have the itch to get another GPU and use Crossfire, but I don't really have a use for it with my gaming needs right now, since I usually wait a year or two after a game comes out before I buy it.
