Description

Hello again !

Today, we present you a mid range build, based on a white theme. It is meant to be used to play at 1080p with nice graphic settings and high framerate, without blowing your pocket up.

We added a custom backplate to the GPU, custom white cables, as well as a Wifi PCIe card. This card reaches 1Gbps, in download and upload, which is quite satisfying.

The PC looks clean, and is perfect as winter is coming.

Enjoy !

Part Reviews

CPU

Really nice CPU for its price. We overclocked it at 4.8GHz on this build, but we were able to reach 5.1GHz on another one. It is" outdated now", but it still performs very well. We don't have much to say that has not already been said thousand times. Works like a charm,

CPU Cooler

It is quiet, it is sexy, it is not too bulky, it has nice perfs, what else do we want ?

Motherboard

It looks great and the RGB lights on the left are not these flashy ones you find everywhere else. It is perfect for a clean build, without thousands of stuff going on at the same time. As always with Asus, overclocking was a really nice experience on this board. It lacks Wifi, but at this pricepoint, no motherboard offers that.

Storage

It boots Windows in a couple of seconds and has just enough space for the OS and a few demanding programs. The perfect point between price and fonctionnality in our opinion.

Storage

It is an HDD, from the best brand in our opinion.

Yes that's all.

Video Card

It looks great, it now comes with the option to not have the fans spinning when the card is idling, and it's perfect for a whte build. The only bas point is that it lacks a backplate. We fixed it by putting a custom one, but one directly on the card would have been nice.

Case

It looks classy and elegant. Even in red ! It has an HDMI output in the front for VR, aswell as a huge tempered glass. Cable management is a piece of cake, and building in this case is a lot of fun !

Power Supply

It does the job. We added custom white cable for a better looking system

Simple and sexy. but is it a PCGAMING machine?

Skraydd submitter 7 Builds 1 point 1 month ago

Thanks ! The PcGaming.ch part is just our brand.

Nice build! Do you have clearance issues with the cooler? NZXT only have official support for 161 mm tall coolers.

Skraydd submitter 7 Builds 1 point 1 month ago

Thank you ! Not a single issue, as the cooler is 160mm. It fits perfectly without touching the glass panel.

Spectacularly clean! Did you like take pictures of this on a black curtain or something?

Skraydd submitter 7 Builds 2 points 1 month ago

Thanks ! The pictures were shot in a professional studio, with black curtain behind the PC.

Hi Where did you get the cables? they look good might get some myself

Skraydd submitter 7 Builds 1 point 19 days ago

They are from CableMod

GoFlow 1 point 1 month ago

Nice Build, I'd like to change the cpu cooler to coolermaster 240 and keep everything the same so it looks nearly as dope as your nice *** pc. If i were just to buy the parts any other things other than peripherals would you recommend like cable sleeves or something? Great build btw :o

Skraydd submitter 7 Builds 1 point 19 days ago

Thanks ! The sleeved cables are a big plus for easthetics, I'd recommend them :)

Rexxy40 1 point 29 days ago

Where did you get the all white/grey cables from ? nice build.

Skraydd submitter 7 Builds 1 point 19 days ago

Thanks. They are from CableMod

Love this build. Putting mine together soon and if it turns out half as clean as yours I will be ecstatic. Can I ask where you got the backplate from? Did you make it yourself or order?

Skraydd submitter 7 Builds 1 point 19 days ago

Thank you ! The backplate comes from ColdZero, they make great products :)

izzatradzi 1 point 19 days ago

Great build!

Almost the same as I'm currently planning to buy. Differs only in Dark Rock Pro 3, 8GB RAM, GTX 1070 8GB GPU and Be Quiet! Silent Base 800 Case.

Do tell me, is one 240GB SSD enough (for games, smoother I was told) though I already have one 1TB HDD? This is my first build though.

Skraydd submitter 7 Builds 1 point 18 days ago

I'd recommend using your SSD only for OS, heavy programs or games you play really often. The more you fill a SSD, the slower it will be. And game loading times are almost the same on a HDD or a SSD.

I'd also go for 16Go of RAM, it doesn't cost much more and it is futureproof. 8Go is okay at the moment but will certainly not be enough soon.

izzatradzi 1 point 18 days ago

Thanks! Here's my dream build. For 4K Witcher 3 and other gaming. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/izzatradzi/saved/yLc4CJ

Hopefully not too bottleneck with only 1070 GPU and Pure Rock 3 CPU Cooler

swisso4 1 point 18 days ago

hey man about to order a build just like yours with dark rock 3 and with just a normal S340 case will it fit?thanks:)

darkmatter661 1 point 6 days ago

Love this build and I'm going to duplicate it mostly. Which CableMod kit did you get? Is the RMi kit the only one that will work?

Skraydd submitter 7 Builds 1 point 2 days ago

Thanks ! You can use either RMi kit or buy simple extensions. These ones are way cheaper and you can use them in the future even if you change your PSU :)

darkmatter661 1 point 2 days ago

Thanks. I looked at the CableMod offerings on Amazon and that kit is $60. Seems kind of beaucoup for some cables lol.

I have the exact same build...

Except cooler
