Description

Upgraded it from an HP P7-1235, the motherboard, ram, HDD, and wireless adapter are stock so I listed parts as similar as I could find on here.

So you put a new CPU into an HP board? I'm glad it worked out for you. Did you get any sort of confirmation ahead of time that the board supported anything more than the stock CPU that came with the system?

+1 for jagermeister :)

Yeah it was my first one, the next will be better and the power supply will be modular. Lesson learned.

How does it benchmark and game? My friend has a similar HP computer with the same cpu and I'm looking for a good cheap card but i cant quite decide which one he should get. Looking at maybe an R9 270X.

The monitor goes for $250, so I couldn't pass it up for $120 cheaper. Also, for that $130 I spent on the monitor I couldn't have gotten at better CPU + Mobo
