Description

YES THE CABLE MANAGEMENT IS TERRIBLE. I'M TRYING MY BEST TO FIND WAYS TO FIX IT WITHOUT GETTING A NEW CASE. ITS JUST I HAVE NO ROOM BEHIND THE MOTHERBOARD AND WIRE TIES ONLY DO SO MUCH. SO TRY TO RATE IT AND GIVE ME FEEDBACK WHILE IGNORING THE CABLE WORK :D The prices could be a little off and the prices are rounded to a multiple of 5 to the best of my judgment.

CPU: I just upgraded this weekend and I actually really like it. It's a lot faster than my old one and runs my games at a level closer to my GPU. I like that it has 6 cores and for its output is a great value. I have yet to overclock but will look to do so when I get an aftermarket cooler.

MOTHERBOARD: This motherboard I also just got this weekend as part of a bundle with the processor. It's not exactly what I was looking for and doesn't have USB 3.0 support but other than that it is what I wanted. It really doesn't manage the space all that well, but I really like the easy CPU overclock switches. I'd rather have the click BIOS instead of the included old-school one but it works.

MEMORY: This memory is really decent in terms of speed and price per GB at around $9.75. I have had no problems with it and it works very well for what I want. No complaints from me.

STORAGE: When I first got all my components I kinda disregared storage not knowing about the the different types and speeds and only caring about price and capacity. I realize now that I should have went with a more well-known brand like Western-Digital and spend more money for both better writing speed and more capacity.

VIDEO CARD: The ASUS Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition is fairly decent. As my first GPU I purchased for my entry level rig I feel like it was a great buy, My first processor held it back but now it can do what it wants and my FPS has improved by 20-50 depending on the game. This is the component I plan on upgrading next and am thinking about the GTX 670. Any input about a new graphics card is gladly accepted so let me know in the comments.

CASE: Its cheap in my opinion looks good and holds my components. So it does it's job. Only lacking thing is cable management but it's not bad enough to warrant me getting a new case.

POWER SUPPLY: For the price and output I think it is decent but for the upgrades I wish to do in the future I will require a new one so leave suggestions about what I should get in the comments.

OPTICAL DRIVE: At this day and age it really isn't needed but I have it to install my OS and play some old school games that I enjoyed as a kid and still sometimes enjoy now. Plus if I ever need it I have it.

OPERATING SYSTEM: I got it free from my school and is the full version. It runs fine and it was free so I got it.

MONITOR: I really love this monitor it has a bunch of different display modes and has HDMI and DVI. It's very crisp and doesn't cost that much. I believe it has a 75 hertz refresh rate but it could be 60 or possibly higher than 75.

If you have read this far thanks and let me know where you think I could improve or what you personally would change. All help is appreciated since I am just getting into PC gaming. Oh and the mouse and keyboard I use are just random extras we had at the house.

I have that case (black version) and after hours of work, my cables are still everywhere like that.

I know the cable management is terrible but there is no more room behind the mobo and I had the tucked in an empty HDD cage but they managed to slip out. Will zip tie and fix that tonight

I have some in the hard drive cage but for the sake of airflow, most are zip tied between the side panel and cage. It lets me have more airflow from the front 120mm fan. You must agree, that case offers 0 amounts of cable management options, limited airflow, and terrible build quality. I wouldn't have it but it was like $10 for me! lol

I have no issues with the build quality except for me every I/O shield I've installed has been a major pain but that could be me messing things up but in terms of cable management the case is really bad, airflow is alright if you position fans correctly. I just disagree with the build quality but I agree with you on everything else. Also in my opinion it looks pretty cool thats one of the main reasons I got it. I really like the white finish and the little amount of black

Thanks. I really like your build as well. I like the space the case has and wish mine had that cause I really like the look of my case.

Yeah the cables are killing it for me, get some zip ties in there asap.

Theres only so much I can really do with the room I have. I have spent all afternoon since I got home at around 6:00pm (Its currently 9:00pm as I'm typing this) looking up ways to better manage my cables in general and in my case specifically. When I get it tidied up I will post more pics. Thanks for taking your time to look over my build though.

hows the GPu? What fps do you get in games with it?

The GPU is decent. I mainly currently play CoD: MW3 because thats what my friends play and run a constant 90 FPS. I've played some StarWars Battlefront 2 and easily get over 100 FPS. Granted those aren't graphically intense games. I plan on getting Titanfall upon release and purchasing BF4 so will let you know my FPS then

please do I feel like purchasing a 7770 but if you get high fps on bf4 and titanfall then I will definitely get the 7790 (since it will add more fps to the games that you played.)

I'd recommend the 7790 over the 7770 since they are relatively the same price ($10 more) and regardless of the game chances are you will get 7-10 FPS more than the 7770 if not more! So go with the 7790 especially with the price being the same and better performance.
