Description

  • i3-8100
  • 64GB RAM
  • 250GB NVME SSD for caching
  • 7 x 8TB HDD (56TB total RAW storage) - about 35TB showing in windows after redundancy and VM allocations

Potentially may add a dual 10gbps network card in the future as I now also have a 10gbps switch available, would link aggregate them into a single 20gbps connection which is insanely overkill given the maximum read/write speeds of the drives, but gives significant overhead for future upgrades.

It's for storage of large video files (sometimes as large as 200GB in a single file), as well as some general file storage and Mac time machine backups

Wow! that is wicked storage space. Always want to build stuff like this, but I have a handful of stuff to backup so insane overkill for me. I dig it though, if I ever run out of space I know a guy. lol
