Description

Hi !

Long time lurker, I finnaly post my build (English is not my main language so excuse my spelling)!

This rig is my main pc, for gaming, homework and everything I does. I know the CPU is overkill for what I am doing but yeah.

I did not bought all the part at the same time, I hunted for special using pcpartpicker. I had some pieces for a while

Prodigy m

Ahhh, this case. This is the sexiest case in my opinion. Look at it, just look. It's great once it's builded (compact airflow is allright and it looks nice) but building it is kind of messy. This is a sacrifice to make for the size and the sexinest, I'll buy it again. I don't really know what to say else

i7-4790k

I bought that before skylake came out, it's still an awesome CPU, I can stream with high compression and still run games like LoL, Dota and CS:GO at 150 fps+. I do not over clock my CPU, I don't want to break the warranty for power I do not need

ASRock H97M

I know, I know, with the 4790k, the Z97M would have been better. But, I don't want to over clock I and got this for like 80$ CAN, it was a great deal. Plus, this MOBO can over clock even if it's a H97 chipset.

I have some problems tho, the PC is booting randomly I don't know why, I guess it's the MOBO but yeah, if you have a solution for me don't hesitate

Corsait Vengeance

I bought this a long time ago, I was sad and make an impulsive buy. It was in my old pc. I got it at a really nice price but I can't remember (got that back in 2013)

GTX 960 FTW

This GPU is great. No, seriously. I tryed 2 test for Vive with this, the first one passed and it was written excellent, the second I did had 70~ fps all the time but Vavle told me it failed. Don't know wich one to believe, I link the result for the second test scince I din't screen shot the first one

SilverStone 500W SFX12v

This made me fall in love with silverStone. I have no idea why, I love it. The way it was packed, the way it is, I just like that, maybe it's a snowflake ? I like snow, I am Canadian you know.

H80i

What to say ? I like it. The fan include in it are crazy loud but yeah. I would have like the silverStone AR05 in that build would have look way more sexy; thing is, the radiator is hidding a clusterDuck of wires.

Cougars fans

Meh, I like them. They are quiet, they look good. Only 3 pins fans tho

HDD

I din't bother to buy a SSD, I got one on my laptop, but I open my desktop in the morning and close it a the night so booting fast is not a matter. And all my medias/important things are on my NAS, so yeah only games on this HDD.

Other periferical

This monitor is awesome. This mice, headset and keyboard are my favourite, got them for a long time. I got my mic for like 80$ CAN huge sell on Amazon

PS: I suck at taking pictures, I took a buch and posted it

If you have some questions just ask!

Well, it's made upside down. I could not manage to put the H80i in a way the ship is on the other side. I din,t wanted the radiator to exaust at the bottom

that's interesting and very cool! The only case I knew that was like this before was one of the new Corsair ones. That's pretty amazing this case is like that too. I wonder how all the components operating being upside down haha :)

it does not change anything that I noticed ! If you look carfully, the PSU is in front too. There is a wire inside the case so you can plug it form behine

No, oops http://i.imgur.com/puI5CdG.png

I entered those data by the best I could remember, I was wrong.

I am going to work right now, I will enter the correct max temp later :)

is there enough room for a dvd reader writer with the big gpu? I'm looking to buy the case for my build

Yes, but you will not have play for a fan on the top. I tryed benchmark without this fan and it does not change a thing, so you'll be allright
