Build

My white Build

by Black__Betty69

Description

Completed this 2 months ago but here she is. Aimed at the mid range area for my first build.

I Choose the i5 4670 as I didn't know much when I began and as my rig is for gaming I doubted it would matter much. But holds up fine I'm going guessing because of the turbo boost. 36°C

Now being quick on the trigger I used a 2gb gtx960 ssc instead of the 4 for my gpu but I have it overclocked to 1500+ghz so it's decent for what I paid.

I'm using a 3tb Seagate for a mass and a 120 gb Kingston ssd for my Os which is windows 10.

Ripjaws x series 1600 mhz Not much else if special other than the water loop I added for my viewing pleasure and a water-cooled gpu down the line.

Fluid dye is by mayhem, the tubing is 1/2id - 3/8od

3/3 puts 10/10 water cooling on a locked cpu. 0/3

Black__Betty69 submitter 1 Build 1 point 34 months ago

what that even mean?

GloriouSGabeN 1 point 34 months ago

With a locked CPU (Non overclockable), you really don't need that water cooling. If you'd overclock it, then it would make sense, but I really doubt your build would overheat with those fans, and that great case known for airflow. With a 960 with 2Gigs of VRAM, it wouldn't go to high temps. So that water-cooling wouldn't be, ethical.

maybe he's going to upgrade to an unlocked CPU in then future.

Just like everyone else, I hope you are to upgrade to an unlocked i5/i7 in the future to take advantage of the z97 board you purchased. If not, I definitely would have splurged an extra $10 on the 4690k... but... Fantastic build nonetheless! Good Job! :)

Thanks! at least you didn't criticize my **** camera haha. But i have planned to upgrade my cpu but I wanted to see what it looked like first as this is my first water loop attempt.

WTF on a locked cpu

Levvie 1 point 34 months ago

+1 for the build, but also where did you get that keyboard from?

GloriouSGabeN 1 point 34 months ago

Mechanical keyboards are known for being CLICK CLACK CLICK

11/10 IGN, looks nice with the water-cooling but I personally think it's a waste, no offense. With a locked CPU like that, as being non-overclockable, I really think it's a waste of money to get a low-temp CPU and a custom water loop, but water loops make everything look fabulous. (PCs, Consoles, Granola Bars, Etc.)

geez brutal, but it clearly states (water loop added for my viewing pleasure and a water-cooled gpu down the line).

colinroke 1 point 34 months ago

u should return the 4690 and get a 4690K (overclockable) for about $17 more. serious waste of money bro

colinroke 1 point 34 months ago

still +1 though
