Where do I sign up for free R9 290 cards? I might allow an AMD card in my house for that price.

Alright, I was wondering if I should have flipped it but it didn't seem like it'd get much airflow since the vent on the bottom of the case doesn't seem to allow that much airflow. What's the perk of flipping the PSU? venting outward instead of in?

How would you suggest i do so, i zip tied them already.

Okay fair, enough, because right now I am assuming i'm drawing warm case air into my PSU rather than outside air. I was just concerned that there wouldn't be enough airflow through the ****** vent below it, but perhaps i'll give it a go.

if he's laying it on the carpet, he should get it off the carpet. Or elevate it somehow. That deadzone of air between the GPU and PSU ain't cool (haha get it? Cool?)

why should it (((never))) be on carpet if it has high feet its fine. now if the computer is not getting proper air ventilation then yes keep it off carpet. but i rarely hear of people's psu dying because of orientation or air flow restriction from carpet. be glad the carpet is grabbing the dust instead of your case lol xD. i can see where you are coming from, but still. :D

Get a piece of wood. He is risking everything just by putting it in carpet. Ask a guy who has seen many a computer ruined by static electricity, and carpet is the dealer of static electricity, if you get what I mean.

His case should shield his components from any static electricity.
