This is a console killer with some nice specs and it wasn't that pricey but hey you can beat this generation of consoles for the price of those consoles
Nice Build! Especially at that price!
Wow! An R9 380 @ only $600! WOW!
You can get an i3 and a 390 for less than $600. Just sayin'
An R9 380 is a graphics card, not a CPU, unless you meant changing the CPU in the current build to an i3. :P
That's what I meant, a Pentium and 480 for $600 is not that huge of a thing, you can get a 390 (no point really as the 480 is as good) and an i3 for the same price. Heck, you can maybe even fit an i5 and a 480 in this build.
1060 is like $10 more than the 480 and its much better
the r9 380 actually was only like 220 the thing about my build is i was stupid and decided that look was better than performance
The weird thing is that I posted this a while ago and for some reason I said $600 for some reason. I don't remember why I thought of that number. Sorry :P
EDIT: "GPU Effective Memory Clock Rate", does this mean the GPU's clock speed? If so, damn it's at 5.8 GHz!
im using a tv..... i need to get a monitor soon
Just saying, you beat the consoles :D
It's so bright x_x
yea i like it though its also bad for my eyes probable making a new build when i get the money
is the build that hot?
No honestly its more like 40c on load but its using stock cooler no overclocking
The R9 380 is plently capable of handling 1080@60 FPS. Don't quote me on that.
Probably i was using a terrible phone camera and the lights were overpowering
Things I could tell from the pictures:
1.) The LEDs work.
I'm sure it looks great :)
Yea sorry about that i have since added 2 blue led fans i dont like them though they are too overpowering
That's a Beauty!
UPDATE: i have added 2 new blue led fans that are terribly overpowering to the color and its honestly not as hot as i originally posted but that temp would still be ok being that its using a stock cooler i spent too much money on looks and should really go for performance on my next build
This case seems very similar in design to the P400 from Phanteks, which I'm building in now. If you're gonna use LED strips, I would recommend lining them at the top of the case, instead of on the PSU shroud at the bottom. If you can keep them from shining directly through the window, that would be best for balancing the lighting effect. Also, you may want to try at least one of Thermaltake's Riing fans at the front to bring in some better light from that side. Right now, it looks like it's all just intense under-lighting. (Updated pics may help too.)
The G3258 is what I used in my first gaming rig, and even while overclocking, the temps are super reasonable. You shouldn't have an issue.
As far as upgrades, I would say an SSD for your OS should be high on the list.
yea thats what i was going for
Aftermarket cooler, probably
the g3258 can overclock on pretty much any socket 1150 board
roll back a bios version or update it? Windows 10 problem?
I had to roll back a bios version to overclock on my board
