Description

Just something put together for the kids to do some light gaming and school work on. Storage, monitor, and PSU were extras from an old build. I probably overpaid for the GPU, but even without a window in the case, I like having the insides match and look nice together.

my first build was like a year ago and it had a a8-7600 and 4gb ram and a 360gb hdd and i thought it was the best gaming pc ever xD i upgraded from a new laptop i got back then that cost $350 and it was still trash

thinking of building my little brother (11) a pc for christmas, might do something like this

Tamir2003 1 point 12 months ago

He could hope that his brother wants to build him a PC, I guess

Hope to build my bro something like this but I hadn't even considered Ryzen!

Liam_Goggin 4 points 12 months ago

yeah ryzen 3 is a way better alternative to i3 or pentium

HawkMagic54 1 point 5 months ago

now that coffee lake i3's have dropped in price that is debatable, but the ryzen 3 1300x is still cheaper than the i3-8350k so ryzen is the better budget choice.

Nice clean build. I am putting something close to this together for my brother in law.

+1

Nice build, but honestly seems super overkill for "light gaming and school work" a 1050ti? that'll sure run minesweeper on max settings.

Clean your front panel dust filter. It look dirty. but overall nice build! +1!

Entry PC? This thing will run any game at 1080p with High to Max settings 60FPS. Shame there isn't an SSD, though. That would really cut down the load times and boot times.

I wish I had a PC like this when I was a kid.

AwesomeGamerBuilds 1 point 12 months ago

Nice build but I dont think this is really light gaming xD for me this is high end.

cloutstryf 1 point 9 months ago

how are the thermals with only 2 fans?

Fraglepuss 2 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

Great build, apart from the lack of SSD. Especially if you want them to do homework etc

ShekkelStein 1 point 6 months ago

pretty strong for just an entry pc.
