Description

Updated parts: Corsair Air 540, Intel liquid cooler, sleeved led kit and cold cathodes, new fans and fan controller.

I use it for, uh... gaming.

No fancy sleeving on this one, yes I know. I can't afford to replace a perfectly good PSU for a modular one.

So keep in mind this isn't an all-new build. For example, the ram sticks come from way back in 2010, when I made my first build. No need for hate because I went 4x2. The prices also reflect what I had to pay at the time. I have upgraded and replaced parts gradually since then.

That should clear things up. Greetings from the tropics.

I've seen it personally and it's a really nice build. Getting my 540 case in the near future to start building my own.

Very nice, how do you feel about that case?

Well, I'm partial to cases with an unusual form factor. It was really easy to build on this one. The dual chamber scheme in this cube case allows for tucking the whole mess in the back without space constraints, or even the need to fasten cables (I suck at cable management) and does actually allow for some pretty decent airflow for the parts that matter in the main chamber.

Very nice. If I didn't decide to move to an ITX case, this would have been my second choice.

Yes, I'm very much a happy camper with the Air 540. The color scheme is nice like this even though you can now get the case in white.

I actually despise white cases--makes me think of Apple products, which I also despise :P

Love this case, the more i see it the more i fall in love with it. I recently got a Fractal R4 and though it's a great case i kind of regret not looking at this one.

slick build! How do you like that monitor? I'm thinking of buying that model.

IPS/PLS monitors are where it's at. Definitely the most significant upgrade of last year for me. And you can't go any better than the Korean models for the price.

Awesome. +1. Can you link us to the original build?

Unfortunately, I erased the old one to upload this. I'd rather think of it as a system I've been updating over the years and then rebuilt just now.

That Intel cooler looks good, I'm baffled that I think it looks good, but it seriously looks good. LOL. +1.

Grabbed them on discount on Amazon, not too long ago.

Not sure why, but i get jealous whenever there's a build up here with a 680 or two. Something about it just makes it way cooler than a 780ti or a 290x
