Sold for $780
Found an i7 6700k build for $220. Included the i7 6700k, Hyper 212, Gigabyte Z170, old HAF case and OCZ psu. I switched the OCZ power supply with a more reliable model and sold the HAF case. Bought the cheapest RAM from Newegg at the time and found a FRY'S deal for the Cougar MX330 Tempered Glass case @ $34.99!
Had a previous PNY GTX 1070 I found for $140 that was perfect for this build's black color scheme. Picked up an Aigo DR12 Pro 3in1 Fan kit and an Intel 660p 1TB drive to complete this premium 'high-end' build.
I absolutely loved Cougar's MX330 tempered glass case. It was a joy to build and cable manage in. The DR12 fans illuminated beautifully against the black colors and tempered glass. Although PCPartPicker lists the case and Hyper 212 as INCOMPATIBLE, the cooler fit perfectly fine with 2-4mm of space in between.
- The first power supply was actually a SeaSonic S12III 450W 80+ Bronze but it suffered from a very loud whining noise when the computer was powered off. It would continue to whine until the computer was turned on or power switch was flicked off. It was returned and replaced with an EVGA model, no problems since!
** Yes I know the ram sticks are installed incorrectly. The motherboards two memory slots towards the CPU are defective and won't boot if a stick is installed there.
