Description

Using the computer for medium range gaming. Not much benchmarking done as of yet. Initial XFX card sent was faulty and needed to be RMA'd within a month of receiving it (unreliable, would occasionally just disconnect for no reason). Second is much better.

The air flow in this case is a mess. The front intake should be moved up so that it can move more air in unobstructed. The top fan maybe should be moved where the current front intake is, as it can still help push some air in, where as it isn't doing you any good up top. The cpu cooler should have its fan blowing out the back, and the back fan should be exhausting air. This way you have positive air pressure which helps reduce dust buildup and helps to get cool air into the components faster.

I agree about front fan. Better yet add a good second front fan. And yes the CPU cooler should be pushing air towards rear of case. Also, with a locked CPU the large cooler isn't really necessary but will be quieter than the intel one.

If it's your 1st build then not bad at all. But I do have to comment on a few things:

  1. I'd at least either buy a micro atx case or an atx motherboard since there is a lot of dead space in there.
  2. why such old parts? It will still run fast but just curious.

Get a case that is made for microATX or get an ATX motherboard. Too much space.

Because have an ATX board with all the extra unused slots...isn't the same waste of space?

Hey, how many fans did you need to buy for your build?
