Description

Decided to go for a strong build for a couple years ago to save $ and avoid the RTX cards for now. I can confirm its working beautifully (I don't OC) - built in July 2019.

Smart move to aim for a prior generation of parts. Bugs have been worked out, questions answered. The cutting edge tends to open you up for some disappointment, whereas something like this can be a more reliably positive experience.

I have that Taichi board too — at some point you should see what those three M.2 slots can do in RAID mode. Strongest feature for my money.

Sorry for the late reply Phooey - just logged in to play around for a build I'm thinking of doing for my partner. I usually like to pick the latest and greatest, but yeah...have experienced those bugs and they're not fun. I've had this rig built since late July and have been very happy with it. Stable and awesome gaming computer. :)
