Description

Built this as a mild gaming pc, which started out with a 1gb r7, stock cooler and stock psu. Now with the new r9 290, I barely have room. I had to mount my cpu fan on the case door, its the only spot for a 140mm fan.

The r9 is wonderful, specially with the mild OC. My min fps went up 10 fps in Unigine. Max went up 10 fps as well. Avg went up 10 fps too. Stable GPU OC with stock fans (tri-x) and a very stable CPU OC with my corsair cooler.

I originally wanted to play DAYZ/ARMA 2 games, but i learned the hard way that amd just wont cut it. But i couldn't be happier with this build.

In the very near future i play to run another r9 290, a SSD, and run my other 4 fans. Id love some suggestions for a good case that will help with cooling, and doesn't look like a honda civic with a body kit.

Went with a new Enthoo Pro from phanteks, couldn't be happier. Thanks for the suggestions. Dropped my idle temps by 5 degrees Celsius. Working on management now.

fractal design, corsair, and nzxt cases are some of my favorites. you can look into those. they offer both budget and higher end cases

Phanteks Enthoo Pro is arguably the best case on the market. HardwareCanucks named it the best case of 2014. Retail starts at $89.99. There's even a version with a window side panel for just 10 bucks more. I recommend you get a new case as fast as possible, because with the cable management you have right now, and considering how all the internals are cluttered together, it's a fire hazard lol.

I'd reccomend the NZXT H440 as well. I packed quite a bit into the one I just built and cooling has not been an issue yet, although I still need to do some overclocking. Good build so far, make sure you post pics when you decide on a new case!
