Description

I use this machine everyday as my primary school, entertainment, gaming, and light software engineering. As I am only 14, none of the components in this machine are particularly beastly, with an AMD Athlon X4 760K and an AMD R7 260X, but it works nicely for my needs.

Gaming is pretty good on this machine, and I can usually get 60fps on high settings most FPS shooters, and I can crank it up to ultra and 4x MSAA on MMOs and most 3rd person games.

The system at idle is not very silent, but is MILES better than my old machine, usually staying at 20ish dB. Under load, it caps at around 30-40 dB, but that is totally fine for me, because most of the time I'm wearing headphones anyway :P.

Sometimes on this machine I do some Photoshop work, and it is fine most of the time, but it tends to crash if you have a lot of layers and try to change a large area, but I don't need to do this very often, so it suits my needs.

PROS: -Looks good (buts that very subjective) -Runs what I need it to

CONS: -Should have a bigger power supply -Not extremely powerful -Won't be easy to upgrade in the future

Wish I could build for that price. Nice build though. I have the same headset and I love it. Why 2 500GB HDDs instead of a single 1TB drive?

Yeah, my friend had them in his home server and didn't need them anymore, so he gave them to me. It's handy though, because I keep one as my boot and main applications drive and the other as my games drive. This way when I (eventually) get an SSD I can just clone my boot drive and not worry about my games.

Why did those WD BLACKS cost so much? I bought a 1 tb Black drive at microcenter for $74.

Read above and it would say those are from his friends home server who doesn't use them anymore.

why would you even spend $300 on hdd's... absolutely rookie decision. went from a budget build, to an insanely overpriced computer with a terrible price to performance ratio.
