Description

Hello guys! I'm Ky. This is a HYUUUGE update to my original gaming PC build. I was having some FPS issues and instability, so I decided to upgrade to and Intel CPU, which meant also upgrading my motherboard and RAM. I salvaged a few hard drives from old computers donated to me by family. I RMA'd my 280 because of a few different reason, and MSI upgraded it to a 390 :D I originally thought that some of the issues were from a failing PSU, so I upgraded that a while ago. Completely overkill but meh.

Honestly though the title said Kys, confused me for a second, didn't see the apostrophe, other than that, cool build!

Hey what kind of overclock can you get with your 6600k and ASRock Z170-Pro4 Motherboard. Nice build btw :)

Haven't tried pushing it too much, but I'm at 4.4Ghz I believe. Thanks :D

If your primary focus is gaming, then if I were you then I would have bought a simple placeholder for the new 1070 and 1080

Well... If you didn't read the paragraph, I started off with a 280, but I had problems with it so I RMA'd it (It's a year or so old). I received an upgrade of a 390, so I didn't have to spend money on it. Buying a new graphics card like the 1070 or 1080 would be a waste of money for me for such a little upgrade.

The R9 390 still has a great deal of power in it. It has only been as of recent that its performance has improved through DX12, Asynchronous Shader Support, Driver Updates, and hopefully it will improve more with Vulcan. The R9 390 will do 1080p with no problem at all; in fact, it probably still has some extra power to use AMD VSR to upscale to 1440p or a max of 3200x1800 in terms of detail.
