Description

I love the speed and performance of this system however during long game play sessions it would thermal throttle the GPU's making game play unbearable. SO after watching a ton of videos I decided to Water cool the System. My first attempt met with all kinds of issues.

First issue was breaking a capacitor off the back of one of the Video Cards, RMA would have been tough so I dusted off my soldering Iron and got that fixed

Second issue was during my initial fill the GPU water Bridge started to leak i got that sorted as well

The third issue was around having mixed matched tubing (NOT GOOD) the CPU part of the Loop was 7/16 tubing where the GPU and second radiator was 1/2 inch inner. this issue made it so that the flow rate from a smaller to a bigger tube was uneven and i could not bleed the system of air no matter what I tried. I fixed that by throwing all my tubing away and getting a new 1/2 Inch Tube and all new Compression fittings for 1/2 inch ID

After all that I got my first loop done however it looked like Bantha Fodder the lines were crossing each other it looked like a mess so i took it all apart again this time it was easier since I included a drain valve in the loop.

I then re did the loop and I am happy with it finally.

The next project will be to try to do an AMD rig with PETG tubing

*EDIT ***

Added some more pictures of the BUILD and saw how bad the cabling looks so I ordered another Primo Chill tubing and a cable kit from cable mods for the PSU

What colour do you have the LED strips set at usually?

A light blue I was trying out different colors
SO the Fluid is EK UV Blue so I ordered some UV LIghts to get the effect of the UV light so i might just DIM the LED;s or use a dark color very Dim to get a nice result I will post some pictures when i get that done

Initial reaction after the first picture: "that looks more complicated than it should be". After reading your description and looking at the rest of the pics: "Damn, this guy really did a great job cleaning things up".

One thing I noticed though: it looks like the tube going from the res to the front radiator is ever so slightly kinked, or is that just due to the angle the pictures were taken?

+1 one for the hard work and perseverance (and the great build of course).

Yes it's a bit kinked that's because when I did the test fit the reservoir was 1/2 way out so that I coul fill when I pushed it back in after the full fill I saw the kink I was beat so I left it there so that I could test I plan on correcting that next weekend

I don't like to put rads in the front like you did but overall nice build

Tried the single rad but temps were still high so had to add a second one front was the only place left in that case

Good question so after playing Tera for about an hour these were the temps

Single GPU on air ran at about 91 c CPU at about 74 c this was standard 1050 on the GPU and turbo 4.2 on the CPU using an h100i cooler

Dual GPU was bad first GPU ran 94-95 and throttle to 887 second GPU at 90 at 1050 CPU ran the same 74 c

After water after an hour of playing CPU 64 c and GPU 1 about 65 GPU 2 about 67c mind you this was after OC the GPU to 1111 and memory to 1350 MHz also stable CPU OC to 4.7 ghz
