Description

My old HP Pavillion Laptop broke on me and didn't work. I didn't bother to repair it because it was just useless to me. I was unable to do any task what so ever. I got 30 FPS on most games on all low and it always crashed on me during boot. After 1 month of saving money and some additional money from my mom i was able to build this computer <3. Though at first i thought building a computer was hard i gave it a shot and watched a lot of tutorials on youtube to help me. After research of parts and people helping me on this forum i was able to make this myself after like 8 hours of struggling lol.

-- > Im open to some constructive criticism on what i could of done better and what i could do to improve it in the future!

-- > Bare with me with the ****** phone pictures lol tried my best in showing you my setup :]

CPU - The FX-6300 is a really good AMD CPU, i first thought that intel was the way to go because i was on the bandwagon on it, but i found this CPU which is a good fast bang for the buck and it's good for gaming. Also being able to overclock this for me to 4.4 GHZ is amazing __^

Motherboard - Got this at the NCIX warehouse sale, and i was able to get this for only 50 bucks. After buying a crappy AsRock Motherboard that was defective, i was able to get a really good Motherboard for the same price after returning it. This motherboard aloud me to overclock easy and it just does what it's suppose to do.

CPU Cooler - Reading the reviews on the AMD stock cooler i heard it was terrible so i had to buy a CPU Cooler.Went with the standard CM Hyper 212 Evo. It puts work and makes my computer really cool and really good for overclocking.

Memory - 8 GB RAM is enough for gaming and regular task work. I chose these because they were cheap and i really like the shiny black finish on them.

Storage - Standard aswell self explanatory. Note: Looking to get an SSD in the future but for now im just using a standard 1 TB which is enough for me.

Video Card - This graphics card is amazing i am able to play any game on max settings, without having the fan go to 100%. These fans are super quiet and keep your GPU cool all the time. Not only that but i was able to overclock my GPU with ease!

Case - Went to a NCIX Warehouse sale and found this lying around. I decided to pick it up because of it's really cheap price and it's sleek design. With it's easy toolbox method, i didn't have to use a single screw to screw any of the hard drives. Also cable management was easy on this case as there are many routing holes to choose from.

Power Supply - Decided to go for a standard modular power supply as i hate non modulars lol. It's been doing great and was able to maintain my computer.

Monitor - I was going to choose an Acer Monitor but i was tight on budget so i quickly chose this monitor. After reading the review of this monitor on newegg i was instantly hooked on buying it and i had no regret at all. Overall does it's job and had no problems what so ever. Picture was is just amazing.

Case Fan - After buying my Case from the sale i only had 1 120mm fan in the case and decided to buy these fans. Not only do they look really nice but it also help better air flow and ventilation throughout the case.

What's the point of having a 120 SSD? Isn't it only for the OS ?

I went with a SSD for my OS and all the programs I use daily, plus BF4, wow such a huge difference and I spent only $50 while on sale. It is like night and day you will wonder how you ever survived before whith one. 100gb is a minimum for the large OS now of days and maybe 2 games.

I like it. You spent your money on the right parts. Since you have 80$, you might consider some dust filters for the fans to keep the thing a bit cleaner (the 200r doesn't have any, right?) and/or a better keyboard.

I do have a dust filter for the Power Supply. And i do have a good keyboard already so im pretty much set for that. I was thinking to buy 2x 120 mm SP fans for the CM Hyper 212 Evo then use the AF Fans for the case. cause i have 1x AF fan on the CM Evo and i heard that SP fans are better. I also have space for 2x 120/140 mm fans on the top but im not sure

I also have a question, is it possible to takeout the bracket off the original Cooler Master fan so i can replace it with a different fan? Im not sure

Yes, you can replace the fan on the evo but there really shouldnt be a reason to. I was talking about dust filters for EVERY fan. They make kits, or you can buy some to size. They really do make a difference in how much maintenance you have to do to the machine.

Personally, I never put fans on the top unless its for a rad. I cover them to keep dust/dirt/cat fir/spilled drinks/whatever out. That machine should not get too hot, so don't worry much. You did a great job, and that it will last you a long time as is!

Would Dust filter effect my Air Flow fans?

A very small amount. But dust is far more detrimental to components than very slightly reduced airflow.

Im probably gonna get 2x Sp 120 mm fans as i won't have enough for the SSD. I would only need dust filters for the case AF fans right? how about the ones attachted to the heat sink
