Description

The Build is for my Work. I needed to Replace a 7 Year old Asus Laptop that had a Core Duo and Win Vista.

I am a little Nervous about Posting the Build here being that it is the smallest Build I have made for myself so Far. I have built in a Parvum S2.0 Before for my Little Brother (And Am still waiting for him to get me to rebuild it, I could Make it Look So Much Better) but The Build has impressed me with the Performance.

I have the 4690k OC to 4.4Ghz using 1.275Core V for 24/7 running at the Dealership. Max temps on stress test were 68C on the Cores after Running Realbench 2.4 for 15min/8gb of Ram. Honestly I think I could Push 4.5Ghz with a 1.3Core V but... Eh... 4.4ghz is running like a top.

I have the Aquaflow 400MPS Flow sensor Inbetween the outlet of the Rad and Inlet of the GPU, because I felt it was the best place for the Flow to Normalize and give a great reading of actual Flow. Having it after the Pump is no good, since that is the Most "Push" of the Pump.

The 780 EVGA Sc was purchased off of Ebay Used, because I am not gaming 100% of the Time, Also FrozenCpu had sent him an Extra EKWB 780 Original CSQ Waterblock that wasn't being put to use, so that saved me around 125$ there.

Most people use 2 x 240mm Rads in this case. I wanted to find out what I could do with one 240mm Radiator, so I ordered the Case full windowed from Caselabs in California so I could show Off the Insides on my Desk at work :)

Please Enjoy

Fantastic work as usual. I love that little baby curve from the GPU to the rad.

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 2 points 38 months ago

Thanks a Ton Manirelli. The Curve there was a little easier than I though it would be. :)

Incredible looking build. Nice job.

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

Lmao. It has Mayhems Aurora Red In it :)

TCO

harr1847 2 Builds 2 points 38 months ago

I sense a new featured build on its way. This looks absolutely amazing. I wish I had the money to do watercooling the way it was meant to be done (like this).

Did you add the Mayhems Red after filling the loop with water?

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

Appreciate that!

I watched all of the videos on that youtube channel of yours and it gets more impressive every time. One question though, it might just be the video but the computer sounded like a jet, does it bother you?

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

It must be the video, I hope yall don't think it's loud, Also the pump had a little air in it when I finally fixed the Fins of the EVO to help the flow and not prevent it. The Build is super quiet on my desk at work. I couldn't have it there if it was distracting to the customers I sell cars to.

TCO

imacrazyperson 2 points 38 months ago

I would donate blood for this thing!!! Better than my PC.

Holy crap! This is the coolest and most beautiful build I have ever seen! I feel like this is a rig that a mad scientist would use (and I mean that in the most flattering way possible) I hope you make featured build with this!

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

I hope I get the Build Spot Too! Haha. A bunch of People at the Dealership think it's a "Lab" of Some sort.

Thanks a Ton mate! Glad you like both of them lol. I thought It was time to treat myself for dealing with the laptop for so long..

TCO

Spyros5305 1 point 38 months ago

Fantastic build!! You are a proof that pc building can sometimes come way to close to art!! By the way how is the noise level? I plan on watercooling my mini-itx rig and i think i will go with a single 240 for both gpu and cpu.

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

Noise is Non-existant . I have it behind my monitor at work, and cannot hear a peep.

TCO

Spyros5305 1 point 38 months ago

that makes it even a greater build!! thank u for the reply!

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

Make sure you shop around for Fans that are best with the FPI (Fins Per Inch) of the Rad!

TCO

intel2012 4 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

do you have some six figure salary, what is your job that allows spending thousands on a single build?

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

I sell cars for a living, now, more efficiently :)

TCO

intel2012 4 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

to afford these builds, you must be selling like lambo's and ferrari on commission based income.

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

Toyota's are what I am trained in, and I sell Used cars as Well

TCO

Patrick3463 1 point 38 months ago

Can someone tell me what is that black thing between gpu block and radiator ? By the way very nice build

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

It is a Flow Sensor, for the Fluid.

TCO

CtrlAltDarkness 1 point 38 months ago

galaxyicw 1 point 38 months ago

how did you remove the frosting from the ek products?

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

I dismantled each block, then you sand with each grit of 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000. After sanding with these I polish with Turtle wax Car Compound, and then come back after with Plastix to finalize the polish.

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

Why not a fan of the Baby Curve?

TCO

brandong003 6 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

Reminds me of Dexter. You should put some 'blood' splatter around it... ok maybe not!

I'm morbid, I know.

Great work! White and red mmmmmm...

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 2 points 38 months ago

That is a good Idea! I understand where you are coming from! Glad you enjoy, and that it intrigues your dark side ;)

TCO

Nerd4L1F3 1 point 38 months ago

Has air pocket in GPU...CRITICAL REVIEW 0/10

jk..nice build

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 2 points 38 months ago

Lmao. I was a tad pre-emptive on the Photos.

TCO

Nerd4L1F3 1 point 38 months ago

Also, what made you choose the 780? a little outdated for the price of the completed build, wouldn't you think? Couldn't you have survived putting an GTX 980 or something similar?

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 2 points 38 months ago

I was able to pick up the 780 off of Ebay used for 275.00 and my brother (the one I built in the Parvum for) had an extra 780 Ek Block that was given to me for free. Total Cost was 275.00. If I would have gone with the 980 and waterblock it would have run me upwards of 700.00

Plus if the boss isn't around at work, I just play Civ V ;) I don't need a 980 at the dealership.

TCO

Nerd4L1F3 1 point 38 months ago

Justified. Just wanted to know haha.

Meithen 2 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

Very nice build, little loop's looking clean!

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

Thanks a ton Sir!

TCo

Fsylar 1 point 38 months ago

The baby curve as its called looks to me as a disfigured tube .in all hardline tubing builds e.g by b negative at overclock.net etc there is only 90 degree and straight tubes.

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 1 point 38 months ago

Gota ya.

TCO

X99Intel 2 Builds 1 point 37 months ago

Thecautiousone submitter 10 Builds 1 point 37 months ago

Haha. Thanks Geek. Building on the Mitx plat was a challenge to say the least. Although, the Space of the S3 helped tremendously with what the goal was, a Full loop and great performance! I needed the whole build to fit on my desk and not under it. I am glad you like the build and appreciate the kind kind words!
