Description

This is a refinement of my first build from last year. I've upgraded some things and used the guts of the first build in many places. I wanted to create a more premium look and feel, hinged doors for easy access to components, sound card, upgrade speakers, magnetic fans, 360mm radiator, etc.

I think I'll stick with this setup for a while. It does everything I need and I like the look. The magnetic fans are almost silent, and the sound I'm getting from card/speakers is amazing. The analog I get from the card is more pure, while the simulated surround sound I get via USB I like better for gaming/movies.

My next upgrade will be more RAM, and then update my monitor/GPU down the road. I'm 50/50 on if I'll try a custom liquid cooling solution.

Primary uses for this system are work, gaming, photoshop, and Plex server.

Very nice - I really like the looks of the 500D (even more than the RGB edition they just showed at Computex). You did a great job on this one.

I agree, it seems better than the rgb 500d

Thanks! Yeah, the RGB edition wasn't out yet but I do like mine more - I wanted the brushed aluminum front panel. I think the price difference is because the other comes with the LL series fans, and while it is better RGB I wanted the ML series.

I LOVE this case! Good to see the dark tint doesn't take away from the fan lights. +1 for the killer build
