So this is my third gaming build over the years. My last machine had an i5 3570K with an MSI Gtx 660 ti in it, and needless to say... this was a MASSIVE upgrade. I am extremely pleased with this beast. I've been playing DOOM, Destiny 2, Deus Ex Mankind all at 144 fps since that's what my monitor's limit is. I'm thinking about getting something with a higher refresh rate just to see how high it can go and make this my secondary screen.

Pleasantly surprised with the temperatures of everything. I was a little worried about air cooling this 8700K, but it works like a beast without getting too hot. Props to the Cryorig R1 Ultimate for doing an awesome job.

The MSI GTX 1080 Ti is a monster in size and performance. It is massive and heavy. They supplied a support bracket with it because of this...however it is pretty flimsy. I may do something else to support it a bit more at a later time. Other than that, it destroys everything I throw at it and maintains low temperatures doing so. It also looks awesome with the RAM I got.

I'm also planning on getting a few TB HDD for storage I know I'll be needing. Just wanted to get Windows on this SSD, but it holds a good bit more.

I know the pictures aren't the best, I'll post more later.

Part Reviews

I've been using this in a gaming machine with a Cryorig R1 Ultimate and it has been destroying everything I throw at it at low temperatures.

CPU Cooler

Doing an amazing job on an i7-8700K at 4.7GHz all 6 cores. Never been higher than 70C.

Great board, great Bios, cool RGB. Easy to use and understand.

It's RAM. Fast RAM. Fast RAM with RGB. Works at 3200MHz with 14-14-14-34 timings with XMP.

Great SSD, very fast. Will probably get NVMe next time but this is much better than having wires run through case.

Video Card

Awesome card, runs everything I throw at it at max settings 144 fps due to my 144hz refresh monitor.

It is really big and hefty, but feels extremely well made and performs this way as well.

I recommend getting a motherboard with strong PCIe ports due to size and weight.

Great computer case. Plenty of room and places to put drives and wires. Great amount of modular configurations. Looks beautiful with tempered glass and lighting around frame.

Power Supply

Good power supply. High efficiency, very quiet. Feels very well built. Fully modular. Thick strong cables.

Operating System

This monitor was extremely simple to set up. Running all my games at 144 fps beautifully. G-sync works great. Very thin bezel for a cleaner look. Allows screen to rotate 90 degrees and tilt pretty well too.

Very pleased with this purchase. Just the amount of click I want when I press a key. The individually addressed RGB LEDs are a nice touch. Some complain about the shape of the keys, but I happen to like them.

Great mouse. Feels very well made. I haven't played with the included weights yet, but I will soon as I use this on a gaming machine. Very smooth movement and tracking.

Very cool UPS. Nice display shows power draw from components plugged into it. Should be helpful keeping my PC PSU healthy.

Looks good. Also you should watch jayztwocents video about fixing gpu sag.

does the rgb on the trio match up with the ram pretty well?

Nanekud1 submitter 1 Build 1 point 24 days ago

Extremely well. It looks like they were made the same way. Almost looks like they were designed to go together.

nice! ty!

What temperatures do you get. Like : idle: under little load: under load:

Nanekud1 submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 days ago

Been getting 35C idle, 50 under little load, 68 under load for extended CPU stress testing.

cheap build :)

I am waiting for MSI GTX 1080 Ti Trio to drop under $799.99 and I will show my PC...

Nanekud1 submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 days ago

You can get it on Massdrop for less than that once in a while.

Sold and Shipped by Newegg $789.99 I got the beast! I am waiting for last thing... Thermal Grizzly - Conductonaut 1g Thermal Paste , the best liquid metal for PC

Nanekud1 submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 days ago

Nice! I used Kryonaut for the CPU. Works great.

Did you have any issues with clearance with the RAM? I am contemplating on this Cooler and the Noctua DH15, with the Trident Z. Heard that both of coolers allow for very little ram clearance.

Nanekud1 submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 days ago

The front fan did have to slide up about 1cm, or close to half an inch. Though it is still cooling amazingly and quiet as can be as well.

orkokite2011 1 point 18 days ago

Brilliant. Would you recommend this cooler with the RAM then? Here's the build btw, I'm going to buy in a couple of months. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/NGGcQV

Looks awesome, but I've heard that the EVGA FTW has been putting out outrageous heat and sometimes causing hardware failures. Only things I've heard online, but you know how that can go.

orkokite2011 1 point 13 days ago

Thanks man :) My mate has the very same GPU and he absolutely loves it. So, I'm going by his word.

Nanekud1 submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 days ago

Cool, I hope it works out great for you!

That's not the Enthoo Luxe.

Nanekud1 submitter 1 Build 1 point 26 days ago

It looks just like the pictures. Are you sure?

PotatechG 1 point 20 days ago

Sorry. When I was looking at in on a black and white screen it looked like something else.

Nanekud1 submitter 1 Build 1 point 19 days ago

Well, thank you for keeping me in check, lol.

PotatechG 1 point 18 days ago

Fail. Probobly getting the same case for my pc build. Although going for the grey version...
