Description

First PC, I am more than pleased with the final outcome of this computer. It pushes Black Ops 3 on near max settings at around 60-75 fps and about 120 fps on GTA V with medium settings. You might be thinking, "why has he got an overkill cpu and a fairly low gpu? Well, expanibility is one of the reason I went with my choice of my own PC instead of a laptop. 16 GB of ram (high speed) is very pleasing and I have never seen my computer use more than 13 gigs at a time. I did go budget on the storage again, with a 250 GB m.2 but it is really fast and I haven't even used it all up yet. Mobo has good features and the athetics of this are very cool! Built it in a bit of a hurry I was so excited! Only took 3 hours. I have had no problems to date and am loving it!

Nice build. I like the choice of a better CPU, CPUs viability typically last longer than a GPU so it is definitely a good investment. I did the same thing you did with the storage for my build, just got a 240GB SSD and it is awesomely fast, but as time goes on you are going to see some restrictions and will probably be good to invest into a TB HDD or another larger SSD

Why not more storage? Apart from that, nice build!

I'm planning to upgrade with maybe a 512 gig ssd soon, and that will be plenty for a while

Will you upgrade the video card eventually? I understand to start with it saves you money. But the CPU is well above the GPU here.

You do have a nice build here though. You will enjoy it.

I will definitely be upgrading my Gpus in the future. I do know cpu is way more powerful than the gpu

Great build but why an i7 if an i5 has up to 8% lower performance in games for over £100 more. GPU, you could've gotten the 960 and have that last you about a year longer. For only £10-£20 more, you get 30% more performance. But nonetheless, nice colour scheme

Yeah, but I was on a slightly tight budget and it is, as you know, so easy to upgrade so yeah.

The led strip was an extra for like 10$ at the store so it just thought why not?
