In my opinion, Philips build is the best, only thing I would change is ram.

Also, the Nano S is way more appealing to the eye (at least my eye, that is).

Ryan's Node 304 for me is the best option. Great CPU for gaming and video editing. Although 6600K would be excellent, but for 1700$ budget 6700K is better option and also with DX12 coming, much better choice. Cooling solution is nice and good looking for an ITX case. Good fit in it. ASUS is a good brand for MOBOs and this one is great choice. WIFI built in and SATA ports on the side of the PCB, and not in the middle, so better cable managment is here. 16GB of RAM, plenty for gaming. Most games don't utilize even 8GB so... Also for video editing quite enough. Storage for OS = excellent. No need to talk about that. 3TB HDD plenty for games, movies, music etc. GPU - best single GPU on the planet right know. Although I would be fine with GTX 1070, GTX 1080 is just a beast in everything. PSU will be great. 80+ gold excellent for CPU and GPU while OC-ing and maintaining stability in power. Ryan's Node 304 is my vote. Very practical for my use of PC's. It is a solid build, plus the storage is fantastic with the 500gb SSD and 3TB HHD. Definitely a good workstation/gaming PC. Just wish it came with Doritos :P

Barry's build is the best. It's fairly compact, should do better in most games, and even comes with Doritos. This delicate combination of style, power, and flavor is exactly what I look for in a PC!

I do enjoy the thought of Barry's build not solely on those Dorito's chips, but because it, one, doesn't include a Samsung SSD, and two, includes an NZXT Hue+.

I vote for Barry's build. Sure Phillips build comes with an I5 and Ryan's with a really good ssd. Barry's not only is it a micro atx mid tower size case but you can deferentially add another 1080 gpu later in the future. The size of the case will certainly help with airflow and not cause restrictions for the pull/push configurations. And I am really familiar with the power supply too so I don't fear that it will bottle neck the system. Like I said, my vote goes towards Barry's build.

Ryan has the best build, and ypu can take it with you on a trip. Very practixal and powerfull, what else do you need?

I go with Ryan's. His choice of a 500gb M.3 ssd gives you lots of space for things that you access frequently, and that seagate barracuda gives you 3tb of extra space. The Asus motherboard will let you use all their great features, and use their incredibly clean BIOS to overclock the 6700k. Speaking of the 6700k, It would let me stream without worrying about impacting gaming performance in CPU intense games. His choice of 16gb of ram also makes the most sense, because 32gb is very much overkill for 99.99% of people.

Also, Lays salt and vinegar > doritos.

Philip's build is the best one out of the three, at least to me. I agree on the i5 and how it will do just as good as the i7 in gaming. The ram is plenty for multi-tasking streams and games. The 1TB SSD is great because you don't have to move the things you want to load faster to another hard drive/ssd. I always prefer EVGA GPU's over any other brand, so that is a good thing as well. The Fractal Design Define Nano S is very pleasing to my eyes, and it'll look great with everything in it. As for the power supply, that will be enough to power all that and to have extra power.

Philip has the best build. I really am not a fan of cube/box cases but the case Philip chose is very nice looking. The components are well thought out and I totally agree with not needing an i7.

I have to vote for phillips because it breaks away from the trend of the other 2 and even though its still in the slightly higher budget of 1700$ overall, if feels like a pc the average person with some saving could eventually piece together.

I like Phillip's the most. Best case, but he could have upgraded his RAM and CPU if he went down to a Gold PSU.

Phillips' Nano S build because I like that Fractal case the best of the 3 and I'm also not into liquid cooling yet. I have that motherboard in my new mITX PC build and think it's great. This would be a good rig for a friend of mine who I'd probably give it away to since I love my own custom build specs better. ;)

I'd pick Philips build but I would add a nzxt hue+ and go with an Asus rog Maximus Viii hero and maybe a water cooling soloution like the nzxt kraken x61 as the window on the nano s would make those components with the leds make the system pop and the hue would add to that

Straight facts! Barry case is the coolest! You can organise those cables really neat. Second you will definitely need that A40 for cooling you CPU when you overclock it. Second for that build you have a 750w PS which will cover the extra 1080 GPU that you are already saving for (as I'm saving :D ) plus man ... Barry you're saving me from hunger if you send me those burritos because I can go for days without going to the kitchen and make a sandwich with your build in front of me :) SO BARRY u're baby boy is stronger faster and definitely cooler looking !!

I would go for Ryan, that Node 304 will fit in any table, even in my study table ;) the ram is just right and an i7 6700k paired with a 1080. So much wow!

Alrighty here we go.. ok 1st: Philips pc build has alot of error such as poor choice of cpu, cpu cooler and ram, they don't belong in the $1750 price range and the 1tb ssd is abit too overkill for the budget.. 2nd: Barry's pc is very balanced overall but has problem with the storage i mean come on 512gb of storage that aint enough at all maybe 5~7 years ago but now 512gb isn't enough at all but overall definite steal at $1800~$2000 price range.. Now lastly Ryan's pc is the best overall because of the overall parts selection the only problem is the ram, don't get me wrong 16gb is more than ideal for gaming but when comes to video editing 32gb is preferable maybe opting for a 1or 2tb storage instead could have solved the problem but for pure gaming this pc is the best.. Now for MY PERSONAL OPINION Barry's pc is good for gaming if the ram was only 16gb and if he used Deepcool rgb lighting kit instead of NZXT hue and use the money for a HDD but for me i feel Ryan's pc is the best gaming pc for $1750, sorry Barry , im immune to Doritos

I think Barry's build is the best because he didn't only focus on the performance but in the looks too. And led lighting in that small sweet case with a monster inside is just perfect. 32gigs of ram is more than plenty for such a awesome build. Water cooling is always better. I really like the Nano S, but I think Barry has the best build overall.

I would probably sacrifice the 32 gb of ram for 16, and get a 760 watt SeaSonic power supply and reach the $1800 limit lol.

Other than that the 804 is still a Fractal Design case, and is sexy as hell being split in 1/2 so all you see from the window is the mobo, CPU cooler, and GPU.

"Barry's Node 804 Build" has my vote. For its beef, not its chips.

The 804 is more multipurpose than the others with the slim CD drive, and while I'd love to try an ITX build soon the Nano S part list just doesn't have as much oomph and the Node 304 looks like finger pain! I'm keen to try out the m2, Cryorig liquid cooler, and HUE setup in Barry's build. Cryorig's style fits well with the Fractal cases. The only change I'd make is trading 16 GB of that RAM for more storage, since I don't do graphics processing. It's a sweet little machine setup though. Doritos is the crunch on top :D

I voted for Ryan's build, he has the best part choices for the money in the smallest size in my eyes. No one needs 32GBs of ram for gaming. 3TB of storage is awesome for saving all your games on without having to delete something to add a new game and I rather have a i7 over a i5 for the hyper-threading to help with all the programs I have open when streaming and playing games at the same time.

No node 202? Regardless, I believe Phillip has the best part choices for a gaming build. Even if the RAM is overkill, the pure SSD is storage is nice. Barry's build is also good, however the motherboard has known issues as well as having outdated IO and a weak LAN controller. I do like that M.2 SSD though. Ryan's is also viable, however that PSU is not very good for price to performance as you could get a similarly priced EVGA G2 which uses a higher quality Super Flower OEM'd PSU rather than a Seasonic unit, I have both and the GS is louder than the G2 as well. Also, that cooler is quite loud and although is probably the best performing 140mm AIO, I would still go air. As well as that 1080 is from Gigabyte which tends to have worse customer service than EVGA. Not to mention EVGA being $50 cheaper.

Barry's Node 804 has my vote! I have been eyeing the hybrid cooler for a while now, I really like the ascetics of it. The ability for future readiness with the motherboard paired with the 6700k cant be beat. The Doritos are by far the strongest selling point for me!

if it was strictly for gaming, Philip's Nano S would be great, but i'd personally take Barry's Node 804 build. this decision isn't being made because he was being cheeky with the Doritos (how the hell did that even crop up on PCPP i will never know), but because the system as a whole lays a great foundation for expandability. i know from personal experience that mini-ITX platforms are pretty rigid when it comes to upgrades, especially once there's a bunch of stuff inside and there are cables everywhere. that's why i think microATX platforms have a nice compromise in size and expandability. want a second GPU, or a SATA RAID card? a microATX system would allow you to do that! though that's not to say mini-ITX has its perks as well...

either way, i like what's here.

i5 to i7 is just a pissing contest when it comes to games and makes almost no difference. Big fan of the 1TB SSD, Great ITX board. RAM is slower speed but capacity is the main thing in games. case is better. Not to mention he's the only one with an 80+ platinum rated PSU.

Have to give it to Barry, a real good build. Although I personally think the i5-6600k would have worked for cheaper, the build was under budget (right on budget?), more than enough room for OC'ing, and LED controller, 32GB of DDR4 RAM (more than enough, overkill even), a beast GPU,included an SSD (which I like most of all), the case is small, which is nice, instead of carrying around a giant case (it's not THAT tiny though). 1+

I definitely like Phillip's build, but the window + plain RAM kills the aesthetic of the build and I do a lot of rendering and audio work so I personally would pass over the i5. I think that the best overall build goes to Barry. He hit the nail on the head with balancing performance, visuals, and cost. As I'm sure many have already said, his build's biggest edge is that it is a motherboard form factor larger than the other two builds, meaning MUCH more expandability.

Anyway, obviously they'll all run current and future AAA titles no problem and all are "future proof" enough so it depends on the user's personal preference to a degree, I'm going to uni so I like Philip's build's portability, but Barry's has more options for upgrades which IMO makes it more "future proof" also doritos

ALSO: In the video Philip says his build has 16GB ram but in the build we see 32GB, lol.

I want to ask, if we vote for, say, Ryan and someone else wins, we are still entered in the draw, right? We don't actually have to GUESS which build the users on this website choose :D?

Barry's build is fractically perfect!

Spec wise Barry's build slightly edges over the other two because of 6700k and 32 GB RAM; compared to 6600k in Philip's and 16 GB RAM in Ryan's build . My vote is for Barry's build!
