NZXT founder Johnny Hou joined us at the PCPartPicker office to show off the new Hue+ software controlled lighting controller. It's a pretty sweet add-on that lets you add configurable RGB LED strips to your build.

We're working on adding in part list support for the Hue+ here on PCPartPicker. In the meantime, you can find the Hue+ here:

Will it be added to the list of parts on PCPartpicker like the original Hue?

Honestly, no. I stumbled across it when I googled "NZXT Hue PCPartpicker". And s far as I know its the only LED's they have on the site :)

Release date? I'm building a new PC in January and this is a must have.

gpalin 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

Looks like can be ordered from NZXT directly now. May take retail a while to catch up. https://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/163-hue-plus-case-accessory.html

uglymonkey913 1 point 16 months ago

Waiting as well, that shipping off the NZXT website is steep where I'm at. I'd like to see it on Newegg, Amazon, or heck even Fry's Electronics. Definitely a must buy.

It would be too much to ask, but from reading different articles about the Hue+, I would say if NZXT offered this closer to 50 USD it would destroy whatever previous competition there was. It would just be a no brainer not to get it.

uglymonkey913 1 point 16 months ago

I posted earlier it earlier, but just wanted to say it's sold on Amazon now. Good luck on your build! http://www.amazon.com/NZXT-Hue-Advanced-Lighting-AC-HUEPS-M1/dp/B018YZ0H1O/ref=sr_1_3?srs=2530039011&ie=UTF8&qid=1450867580&sr=8-3

Woah. I haven't seen the video yet, but if the original does RGB, does this one do like, infared and UV?

philip staff submitter 10 Builds 4 points 18 months ago

The cool thing about this one is that it is software controllable (via CAM).

The.Geeked. 1 Build 4 points 18 months ago

Can you add BitFenix Alchemy 2.0 Magnetic LED Strips to PCP site also?

thezac2613 3 points 17 months ago

When will this be added to PCPP?

[comment deleted]
piemancoder 1 point 17 months ago

I know that there would be no need for it, I was just joking since the original Hue did RGB, so I thought what did they possibly add now? But I think you could possibly use the IR to control your TV from your computer.

190n 2 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

You could make an IR light by taking the cooler of your CPU...

[comment deleted]
190n 2 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

IR light = heat

piemancoder 1 point 16 months ago

I don't think that's exactly how it works.

rhali8 2 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

The light!

Do you see it too?

na1nsxr 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

It's funny they partially led the charge in getting rid of drive bays and now this thing has no graceful place to sit.

Cykadia 1 Build 2 points 17 months ago

I think its quite graceful. Many people have empty SSD slots, and especially on the s340 and h440, the Hue fills the space nicely

davfo 1 Build 1 point 17 months ago

Is this something designed specifically and only for NZXT cases? I'd like to put this in a Fractal Design S w/ Window but fear running out of cable.

[comment deleted]
Flaymn 1 point 17 months ago

would this fit with the Fractal Design Define S since the Hue + is bigger than a SSD and the SSD slots are on the panel parallel to the door. Im afraid they won't let the door close.

$59.99 and no ability to see tax or shipping without an account... not that great. Anyone know what shipping and tax approximate? Say to continental US?

Looks like it's being sold on Amazon now by NZXT (no shipping cost at the time of this post): http://www.amazon.com/NZXT-Hue-Advanced-Lighting-AC-HUEPS-M1/dp/B018YZ0H1O/ref=sr_1_3?srs=2530039011&ie=UTF8&qid=1450867580&sr=8-3

Reaper_v3.4 1 point 15 months ago

Ordered mine a week ago, waiting for it to be in stock and Amazon will ship it out. Almost done with my latest upgrade and man these last parts are holding me up! Watch, as soon as I get my system leak tested and running the hue+ will be on the way. lol

Pcjulian12343 1 point 13 months ago

Whats the best case(with a side window) thats white that suits the hue or hue+?

uglymonkey913 1 point 12 months ago

The Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX mid/MicroATX, Corsair Air 240 MicroATX mid, and the NZXT H440 all are white and have sizeable windows that I've seen look really nice with case lighting. My preference... if you have the $$$, the Phanteks would look best.
