Don't mean to sound like I'm being rude - I'm genuinely curious - can you link me a benchmark where a 960 beats a 380?? all benchmarks I have seen is the the 380 in the lead, here where I am the 960 and 380 are the same prices

Mhm I take back what I said, sorry.

Also thanks, now i know that the 380 is better than the 960

Again not necessarily. People need to drop the 960 hate.

There you go :P look at the 285. They perform about the same. The 380x will be more closer to the 960.

As I said there are instances were the 380(x) beats the same 960 and others where the 960 trumps the 380(x) .

Here is a more updated benchmark: https://www.techpowerup.com/mobile/reviews/ASUS/R9_380X_Strix/20.html

380 < 960~380X

There's one example for ya :)

The 960 got beat (according to your second link) at anything higher then 1600x900 by both a 380 and a 380x, here is a video with more benchmarks besides WoW: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NTpNZEW31G0, at this point we both realize that a 380x is out of the league of a 960 (which is sort of obvious, it does cost $40-50 more besides the ridiculously priced FTW ACX 2.0+ version at $260+)

I dont want to seem like an amd fanboy but I like to get the most out of my money, and that happens to be amd most of the time

Well you are sounding like a AMD fanboy... I don't know what you are seeing but getting a couple more fps is not getting beat. I don't know what you saw. The 380 did not beat the 960 in that example at 1080p. Nor even at 1440. The only one where it was 1 fps higher was 2160. The 380X was slightly higher but not by much to say beat. That would be a 770 or 290...

If you actually read some reviews on the 380x most ppl have no clue what that card is even for. Only a few % better than a 380 while costing more. And then almost costing the same as a 290 while uttering losing to it. If you think AMD is your solution then fine, be an AMD fan. I stand by my original post. You asked for a example where the 960 was better than the 380, I gave you one at 1080p....

If getting a couple more fps is not being beat then what is?

vekspec 6 Builds 1 point 24 months ago

see that's totally what a fanboy would say... cause you like AMD, anything where AMD is higher than the other side, you say is beat. to me a couple of FPS is NOTHING in gaming. you will not even notice the difference. to be beat is to beat by 10 FPS or more like a 290 beating a 380. to me, as a user of both sides, they are on par.

enjoy your AMDs. builder has already picked his GPU, we are done.
